Great for traveling abroad
Before we went to Cuba, we downloaded the Bluetooth texting app Air Chat. It is good for talking with your partner at loud concert spaces, from the front to the back of a bus or van, or at a busy dinner table. Like “what are you ordering” or “Can you believe this loudmouth?”
In Cuba wifi is quite tricky to use. The Bluetooth solution was great.
I tested all three Bluetooth chat apps and the free ‘Air Chat’ is far and away the best.Show lessduqprof
Unreliable
Have tried to use this app on a few occasions on cruise ships when there is no signal. The concept is great but unfortunately it’s very unreliable, often not sending the message. My boyfriend and I often found that my messages would send to him, but his would not reach me, even when sitting next to each other.Show lessAcseam
Air Chat
Air Chat works just great. It’s a simple Bluetooth iPad or iPhone chat App. It downloads very quickly so it must be a tiny App. It took a while to understand that audible message alert notifications only occur when the receiving iPhone screen is locked. Worked for one device but not others
I tried it on my iPod just to see if it worked, and it did. So then I went to try it on my sister’s devices because that’s where I actually wanted to use the app, and it wouldn’t recognize my sister’s iPads. They were also sitting right next to eachother.☀️Haileigh M.
Awesome App (Helpful Tip)
This app is awesome! Great for chatting with people when you’re trying to have a private conversation in public... good local communicator. I wish you guys would add support for sending and receiving messages while the device is locked, as well as replying. Would also like to send pictures and attachments!
