  • Not working

Paid for this app and it does not work. Wont open. Cheers for thar. Absolute rubbish, dont buy, abandonware
  • It is what it says it is… with caveats

The app runs as they describe, though their use of language is… vague.

The app hangs on certain tasks (using iPad 11” M1(2020)). For example I can’t sample things more than once. Once the recording for the second is done the app hangs and crashes.

Overall it’s good at doing it’s stock things but it’s hard to sample things when it’s very limiting.

  • App keeps crashing

Not sure why there seems to be no support for this paid app it keeps crashing on the iPad and it can make you look like a fool when you try to show a client something.

    Not pleased
  • Please UPDATE THIS APP

🎛 needs update for crashing importing and exporting
  • Great when it works

Bought this to work with my Akai mpd218. When it works it’s great, but it crashes a lot, and stops working completely a lot. Very frustrating, first time user of any Akai products and very disappointed.
  • Not possible to export to computer

Buyer beware! The export functionality relies on the desktop iTunes “Apps” section which has been removed from iTunes a long time ago. And iCloud is not supported. So basically you can’t export the stuff you created.
  • Not the hardware but gets the job done.

I've been using the 2000xl for over 20 years and this a great option for loop making. It won't replace my machine but could be a great temporary substitute in a last minute emergency situation. It's worth the small price as well. Anyone who really uses a real MPC every week would appreciate this for reasons that a regular user would understand. My 2 cents.

  • App doesn’t work correctly anymore.

All the samples are playing back at 1/8 their original speed. It clearly needs to be updated or taken off the store.
  • Very Poor effort

    ..
  • Terrible app

I don’t usually write reviews, but felt compelled to review this app after using it many times.

While using the app, it will frequently crash to the home screen on my iPad.

While making a beat, I have begun to notice that the app will sometimes rearrange my hits without me doing anything. It is safe, it just has a mind of its own to change my heads.

On the iPhone version that I have, the tempo of my beat is much faster when the headphones are unplugged, even though I have not change the tempo. The correct tempo will play when the headphone jack is in use. This does not happen on my iPad.

These features impair some of the functionality. I cannot recommend this app until more bug fixes improving use.

Additionally, I’m not sure whether the app will allow importing tracks from device to device. I had to remake all of my beat on my new iPad because I could not figure out a way to export them from my iPhone, and import them into my iPad.
