This is great! The basis is one of the effects in Superphoto, but way way more with both subtle and dramatic embellishments. I love this app. Thanks over there at Tangle!!
I have loads of photo apps on my iPhone, this one does not try to be a jack of all trades, it does one type of effect perfectly. I've never seen any effect like this, and the app enables you to apply it in a variety of ways, and tweak each of them either in a basic mode or the advanced mode with several more factors to fine tune. It is easy as can be to use, yet with enough depth that one could experiment with it for months (years?) to get precise images just the way they want them. So, whether you just want to apply a cool preset filter and be done, go in a bit more and fine tune various settings (all of them or just the basic set), or start making and saving your own custom settings and using the app to make something that feels your own, this app is terrific. I've been exploring it for a couple of days, and just realized I can apply filters over photos I've already filtered through Tangled, getting some really nifty looking stuff. I'm just goofing around mostly, but sometimes I realize an hour or two have gone by, this app is such a joy to use.
I agree with others, the only thing I can think of to make this app better is a mask or other way to apply the effects to only certain parts of a photo. It'd be nice, but I'm fine without it.
This application is one of my favorite on my iPad. I love the ease of use and I love the effects and my ability to adjust them. About the only thing that I wish it had was ability to mask area so that not all the effects cover the entire picture. It would also be nice to be able to have a slightly faster way of saving.
This is definitely part of my top photo effects tools!
This app is very similar to one I paid a lot more for that works in Photoshop. It is my favorite filter there and now on my IPad. I now have the ability to apply it to my photographs on my IPad . I recommend it to anyone to add its effect to their photos or artworks. I Think I good extension for this would be a masking feature so some parts of the image could have the effect and others not. Otherwise a great filter!
If an app can be called epic, then TangledFx is it🌟 I've kept this app in my wish list for a while and I regret waiting so long. TangledFx has turned my art and photos into masterpieces, in my opinion! TangledFx has increased the visual quality of my art ten-fold!!! It gave me a leading edge in the art community. I've gone through many photo apps, but this one always stays on my iOS devices. I've also yet to come across an app that can do what Tangled FX does. If you like to play around with photos on your iPhone, this one's a no brainer.
Tangled FX does something unlike any other photo editing app. And you can tweak the ish out of things with tons of settings.
Put an image through Tangled FX on its own and you can get some cool effects. Layer with the original image or other copies edited other ways, and things get even Cooler.
Tangled FX won't make every image work, but I tend to run anything interesting through the app just in case it really works.
I've spend hundreds on photo apps and have deleted all but a few. Tangled FX is one I'll never be without.
I was skeptical at first, as I don't usually stray away from free apps, but this one rocks! Lots of different effects to use and lots of fun!
There are a lot of photo apps in the App Store. This one is different. This allows you to add a bit of texture in a different manner and other programs.
It helps make the pictures pop and adds that all-important bit of depth.

This new version has made an amazing app even better. From light and airy to dark and brooding, Tangled does incredible things to pictures. I can't remember how much I paid for it, but I'd buy it again.
