  • Edits text

Works as a simple text editor. You can edit html files then display them within the app. This works well for me.
  • Not for .SQL files

If you’re looking for a way to open .SQL script files, this ain’t it. Format not supported, even though it’s a text file. Boo.
  • Avoid at all costs - really bad app

I was excited to use this app on my iPad pro but it was a total disappointment. I had 2 incidents where all my files were erased from the app and I had to recreate them from scratch.
  • Crash on txt file bigger than 2m

When open txt files bigger than 2m, the app will just appear blank without even a letter appeared.
  • Solid for a source code editor

Offers a good amount of code language support but could have more support.
  • Terrible editor

I don't recall an editor that I was more disappointed with. That's saying a lot considering I've been working with editors for nearly four decades. I don't know where to begin but it seems to me that an editor should be simple. This one is anything but simple. What is more frustrating is that the complexity seems random rather than for a purpose.

    Stay away from this app.

  • Kinda crap, but still better than the rest.

This app is kinda crap, but still better than any other iPhone text editor I've tried.

There's no configuration options for line wrapping, fonts, line numbers, or other essentials. Syntax highlighting is rather basic and not configurable in the least.

You're prompted to select a text encoding each and every time you open a document. This is incredibly annoying. No, the app does not remember the last selected encoding.

To sum it all up: the app is woefully inadequate when compared to even the lost average text editor available on the desktop. However, it's still the best code editing app I've seen for iPhone. So, there's that.

  • Decent app 👌

It's a fairly useful app that I use regularly to search large text files for specific values and to allow me to more easily read log files I receive by email.

I think it's a bit overpriced but I decided to get it because I was using the free version regularly and figured it was worth supporting. My biggest issue with the application is the color! Geez it is a freaking ugly color. 😖 And there doesn't seem to be any way to change the theme or color so it looks like I'm stuck with what I call, "pea soup green".🍵
