App forgotten by Rode
All the comments are correct… the app is almost useless plus it hasn’t been updated in 8 years. I thought Apple was going to start removing apps that haven’t been updated in the last few years. Cmon Rode, you make great hardware, how about putting just a little work into the software side. It’s embarrassing how sad the quality of the available apps (this is the worst of them).
This app looks and works like it’s a high school beginner programming class project that at best would get a C- grade. (Only because it actually runs, doesn’t crash the phone, and records audio. Sadly, you can’t do anything with the recording. You can’t export it, delete it, or use it outside the app.
It needs to be completely rewritten or just removed from the store

Waste of money
How can I make full use of the ixy specs if the software for the mic isn’t maintained?
The app crashes whenever I try to use a higher sample rate. False advertising.

Does not work in Australia
This is buggy. Cannot use the app in Australia and recordings are not easily transferable. Go around in circles in the app to purchase not great imo
What a downgrade!
Been using this app with the XY mic successfully for years. Recommending to everyone. However this is a terrible downgrade. As previous comments, cannot upload large files. And even went to buy the upgrade and told not available in Australia. What??? Aussie dollars not good enough?

Astoundingly terrible design and user experience
Not only does it keep prompting me to buy the pro version, which I would consider, the pro version is not available in Australia.
The recordings I do have are incredibly difficult to get off of the app, I still have not found a way to get the files to download.
Most annoying of all, the app will not let me review the audio through my AirPods. Seriously who thought this app was worth publishing? Expected more from Rode.

Yes there is an entry in Rode blog that they have taken it down to update it but to no avail. How am I supposed to record in 96kHz now?
Surprisingly I can share and delete my recordings normally despite other people having problems with that.

I paid for this app too and it suddenly disappeared. This version doesn’t even allow "buy" even if it’s again.
Used to work great! But now crashes every time!
App will not run with iXY mic attached to iPhone 12 Pro Max. The mic powers up, I can even select 96Khz for my sample rate. But as soon as I hit the plus to start a new file, it crashes to the Home Screen.
Not an ethical developer.
I paid for the earlier version of this product and used it happily. I had quite a number of recordings saved within it. Then without notice Rodes announced they were withdrawing the product for a period and I lost my recordings. Now they have a new, I think, product and want me to pay for an upgrade, which is not functional in any case.
