This app is revolutionary! It has all of the functionality of other Bible apps, and even goes beyond them; but it is free. Other apps have a commentary or two. This one allows you to transfer dictionaries and commentaries for free that you can't get anywhere else.
For example, I love Matthew Poole's commentary. I have other good Bible apps that I have paid for, but cannot get his commentary on. On this one, I simply have to transfer the file for his commentary from my computer to the app through iTunes.
It uses files from the free Bible program 'theWord', which has literally thousands of Bibles, commentaries, dictionaries, and books available. You can even create your own commentary, dictionary, or book and transfer them to this app!
This app has a simple layout, and is very responsive on my iPad 1. The developer is quick to respond and working hard to include new, requested functionality. Like I said, I have Bible apps I have paid for, and even paid for some of the books on other apps that I can get here for free. And, this app allows me to use commentaries and dictionaries that I cannot get through the other apps. Fantastic!
