App updated and deleted 3 years of game play that the help support couldn’t recover. Make sure your game is linked to your EA account.
I like that it’s more challenging then the original but hate how many things you have to pay for, especially with the amount of pop up ads as well, either users pay or there are ads but not both

Great game would recommend if you don't care about paying real money for things
So I'll get to the point this is a good game if you liked the first one. Me personally, I don't think I ever played the first one (even though my dad insists I did) but I really didn't have a lot of problems with it except having to pay real money because some people dont want to have pay for something they should get for in game currency instead. I say this because some of the things you can buy in the shop dont give you the thing you want. For example in the shop you can buy plant bundles that only give you seeds to upgrade that plant. I find this useless because some people don't have the plants to upgrade because the whole reason they bought the bundle was because they wanted to get the plant itself, not something to upgrade the plant. But overall I'm completely satisfied because the real money issue doesn't really bother me. So yeah this is a good game to play on long trips or just to cure boredom. Ok bye. Edit: plant idea, Mossketeer, plant on top of a plant and it will repeatedly stab the zombie that's eating the plant it was planted on until the zombie dies and when the plant it was planted on dies, it dies with it

Absolutely love it but…
My most favourite game ever ! I had been playing for a few months and recently finished all the worlds and was on the last 3 big boss levels. Arena was going successful as well in gold almost jade. But then I recently updated the app (few days ago) and everything got wiped. I was back to level 1 of Egypt again and almost sobbing. Dramatic I know. But is there anyway to get everything back ? Please help. I can access game centre and see my achievements but the actual game is fully at the beginning again 🥲

New worlds please?
Hey EA and PopCap, you both have made amazing PVZ games. From PVZ1 to PVZ3… I wouldn’t actually know so Battle for Neighbourville instead. Honestly you wouldn’t need to add much to PVZ2 as it is already a 10/10 game. No question there. But if you were to add new ones or even just make them events you could do Ancient Rome, you might already do that, Ancient Greek, WW1, and maybe add a couple of the Chinese exclusive worlds to our version of the game. Now I don’t care if you guys don’t but I’d love to see that

IOS 18 installs and the App loses ALL my data, including multiple in app purchases!
Although the gameplay has never been as satisfying as the original PvZ this game continued to have enough new content mostly via Arena Mode to keep me playing as well as paying at intervals for premium plants and upgrades. With the advent of IOS 18 (& iPad OS 18) I have just opened the app on both my iPhone and iPad to discover everything, including my user profiles gone!
Now my devices both show that the over 2gb of documents & data present with the app pre upgrade is still there so clearly it has not been lost but PvZ2 is not accessing it. My game centre awards / badges are still showing but otherwise the game is treating me as a new unregistered user so I can’t even use EA’s notoriously poor error reporting.
This failure to update the App to allow a seamless experience with ios18 is merely the worst and latest example of EA’s contempt for its users.
Over the years I had priced in badly executed updates &
play continually interrupted with pointless 3rd party ads which frequently freeze the app necessitating restart and lost progress. This time it is the absence of an update that is the final straw.
Given the very mixed & predominantly negative reviews of PvZ3 it seems that the curse of Electronic Arts has struck again & yet another fine game franchise they took over has been run into the ground.

Issues and improvements
Hey pop cap if you’re reading this thank you for reading this as you haven’t been fixing issues or so I’ve heard. In my options there Are zombies that are too over power mainly because of their mechanics or placements so here’s a tier list list of annoyingly overpowered zombie (as progress they don’t get harder they just get more annoying to deal with [it start at Wild West]). Shovel & umbrella zombie- they are annoying combo and they usually are almost always on the same tile, and form a tank like formation the only difference is you can kill a tank but this combo you can’t; the nerfs they need are speed and for shovel zombie is health. Fisher man and octozombie- Fisherman zombie is just annoying because he sits behind, what I deem as zombie spam and just slowly rips apart your defense; how to nerf make it to where only two of them appear and make banana 100 sun cheaper. For October zombie just make it to where he can only lob octopus in a 2 by 4 area and nerf it’s hp and octopus health. King zombie and wizard zombie - nerf it’s summoned knight zombie it’s very annoying; and make wizard zombie with lower go and make it attack in a 2 by 4 range also give it melee damage If in 2 block make it shoot magic bullet slowing and its dmg 25. And if you made it all the way though that thank you pop cap for listening because EA really only cares about money I believed

Can’t get the achievement time traveller
I did everything to get the time traveller achievement but I guess it’s a probably a bug or am doing but pop cap please read this review. Anyway the game is fun itself I even beaten adventure mode and hopefully you don’t stop updating like PvZ1
The biggest issue which I ever met

As a veteran player of Plants vs. Zombies, I have some questions about the second version. You have fixed the bugs for flashing coins or diamonds, and also fixed the bug for flashing plant fragments. However, why hasn't the background music issue been fixed yet? Every time you click on the settings panel or menu panel, the background music will reset and cause the two types of background music to blend together. Although it does not affect the game process, it has a certain impact on the overall experience. This is the first point; Secondly, I don't quite understand why there are advertisements after every level or daily level of Panni's pursuit? And these ads can cause background music to drop frames and stutter, which has been a problem for several years. Do you know? I can't understand it anyway. Even if you want to make money, using this form of advertising is really disgusting for the old players. After each level, there is a 30 second long advertisement. The content of the advertisement is not only young, but also automatically redirects to the App Store. It's really annoying!

I’d pay to remove adds if it was an option
Love this game, but no way to remove adverts, I’d even pay to make them go away but it’s not an option…. There are too many, and run the full 30seconds 99% of the time…
I’m not paying for premium plants when I’d still be expected to sit through 30seconds of adverts every 2mins.. and they are the worst types of adds, the ones we all hate..
