Forgot to say it works extremely well with lots of cloud services. Very surprised by this as some paid apps or apps by big developers (e.g. Adobe) don't work this well.MancPodder
Okay, but collates files like Microsoft instead of Apple.
Archives that contain files named with sequence numbers expand with files listed out-of-order. For instance, 1-1, 1-2, 1-10 end up 1-1, 1-10, 1-2. We should expect sorting by delimited, numeric quantities, as in MacOS, rather than columns of character codes, like that other thing.rocketrancher

Zip Viewer
After looking at all the options and reviews for zip files, I came down on the side of Zip Viewer and I am so pleased I did.
I have had no problems - thus far, it is working extremely well. The strip of advertisements that sometimes runs along the top of viewer I find unobtrusive.
Admittedly, I am using the viewer to listen to a lot of spoken downloaded files, but it works for me.Show lessJeaniejive
Didn't work.
To be fair it opened something but not anything readable. This was better than a rival free "unzipper" that didn't recognise there was a file to unzip.
My PC opened the file automatically so once again it goes to show that when it comes to work and productivity there is no substitute for a proper computer. Just annoying that people release free apps that fail. It does them no favours.

Easy to download zip files from iCloud and preview, I then import into iBooks and that's it - brilliant!
Yes there are some adverts, but this is a free app, so probably to be expected.hillie37

10/10 if you need a quick way to open a zip file or two, but you will need to buy the full version if you want to use it for a long timeJman71925
