Thank you for responding and explaining! I know it did it once many years ago when I had deleted a picture in my Photo Album myself 😅 but I knew I hadn't deleted the pictures that were gone in the app this time. I'm adding back a star for the quick response and because other than that, the app is good. I'll add back more once there's a fix for the photo issue. ☺️

Dear Biyxtren, We apologize for a decision we made long ago to store a link to pictures instead of saving the pictures within our app. We didn’t realize the link to pictures would change with an iPhone upgrade or replacement. We are working as fast as we can to correct this particular decision (and problem), and are fairly close to releasing an update. We encourage you to seek a refund through Apple Support, and hope you’ll be willing to try Thankful again after our next update, which will store the photos in the app (and will in addition sync across all Apple devices). Again, we are very sorry about the current photos feature. Your photos are safely in your Photo Library, however, so your photos are safe. Thankful (version 3.3.0 and earlier) only stored a link to your photos. If you have any further comments or suggestions, please contact support@eddystreetproductions.com.

While we work on fixing the issue, you should be able to edit the date of your journal entry once it is saved. Also, if the list jumps to entries from months ago, refreshing the list (pull-down to refresh), it should display your most recent journal entries. Sorry, SDFNP, for the issue you are experiencing. We made a huge mistake when we decided to simply save a "link" to pictures, instead of attaching the pictures within the app. The choice was to save you disk space on your device, since you already have the photos in your photos library. However, we didn't expect that when devices are updated, that the Apple photo library would change its links (file paths). This was clearly a mistake for us to assume we'd be able to preserve the links to the photos. To correct this issue, we will be updating our app in a huge way in 2022 to correct issues such as this one and more. We hope you'll check it out in the future. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience. In the mean time, you may want to consider using a full-featured app like "Day One", which is fantastic and has multiple options for saving photos. And hopefully we'll earn your business back again in the future. We are #thankful for you!
