Now the child can identify the consonant blend easier with highlighted blends: 1) Beginning Consonants section – The first two letters of the word (the beginning blend) are highlighted in green. EXAMPLE: In the word "drag," the letters "dr" would be highlighted in green. 2) Ending Consonants section – The last two letters of the word, (the ending blend) are highlighted in green. EXAMPLE: In the word "soft," the letters "ft" would be highlighted in green.
