My 9 year old son has been playing this game every day for a week. He's in a class that just began discussing The Zones of Regulation, so this app is a great teaching and reinforcing tool. He was disappointed that after two days of playing he had played the entire game and bought everything possible at the store. But he continues to play by deleting and adding new players. He seems to like the repetition. I would have given it 4 or 5 stars if a player could have gone through the colored zones more than one time.Show lessDebC333
Zones boring, not enough resources
I'm very disappointed with this app. I use Zones a lot in my elementary counselling, and was hoping for some interactive components. There's not enough, & it's too wordy for most kids, & basically boring. I did like the 6 sides of breathing activity, but I was looking for more of the visual aids that are in the book, and couldn't find them.Show lessA.V.RoomGirl

Great compliment to the Zones curriculum. Engaging app. Just wish it would read the text for students that require the level if support. Would give a higher rating if it had this feature.ColinMac2

I appreciate the effort on this app, but based on the screenshots was expecting more tools. The book had dozens of tools, but as far as I can tell, the app only references three. Would prefer less 3d gameplay and more focus on tools.Bnels63

Awesome tool!
I am a Speech-Language pathologist, and I purchased this tool to help me support several elementary aged students on my campus with social skills and self regulation. Students with social cognitive impairments often can't regulate themselves and don't identify their own feelings, which is a crucial piece of social interaction.
This game provides a fun 1:1 way to teach those underlying core skills to students in a way that they can understand and relate to... It is also much easier to get them to engage in talking about feelings which preteens and teens just "love" talking about.
So far it has been a hit, and the pacing is good. Students cannot make progress in the game without engaging in activities, but they are motivated to do well with rewards for their character. The game has a small resemblance to "mine craft", so that is also really motivating.
