Great help for learning tones
I’m a beginner learner and this app has been wonderful for my understanding of the Chinese syllables and their 4 (or 5) basic tones. My only concern is that the audio app, running on my iPhone X with the latest update (as of Fen 2021), sometimes stops working and I had to delete it and download it again.

Great for learning tone
This is such a simple and punishing app! If you think you have your listening figured out, this will determine if you’re right. Sound samples are good, pronunciation and tone are very clear.

Good for studying
I take mandarin class and this is a great app to study
the panda is proud of me and that is all that is important
we play this game in my chinese class. it is really fun because it makes you strive for panda perfection. it is also really easy to crash. crashing it is probably the highlight of the game.
Minimal Pairs
I just started reading Fluent Forever by Gabriel Wyner. He claims the place to start is learning the sounds and specifically the slight variations in sounds in your target language. (eg “rock” and “lock”)
