  • Good, but could be great with a few tweaks!

Thank you for developing this app! Very helpful for recording observations. One suggestion would be adding an ability to filter the “Places” map for observations of a particular species.
  • good, could improve but probably wont

Overall I really like this app, it’s good to track what you’ve found, add the location & pictures of it and then also write a little descriptor of where specifically the plant was (by the boulder, next to the trail, etc) and also add things like what the plant is good for, general notes and such. My only issue with this app is that you cannot edit the name of plants without fully deleting, and although it allows you to add species it doesn’t allow you to change the type (always says it is a fungi). Other than this it’s a very good app and I recommend to anyone wanting to forage and keep track of where they found certain things. Overall 9/10. P.S. the reason I said it probably won’t improve is because it hasn’t been updated in years and all of the written reviews are nearly a decade old. Still good tho.
  • Best Forager Ap Out There

I really like this ap. it's straight forward, no elaborate database to download etc. I use it to keep track of where I found certain plants, so I can go back at a different time time of year. The one complaint I have is the *very* limited ability to edit. Once a new plant is entered, I have to delete it in order to edit the name. Also, if I've entered a plant finding and I want to change or delete the photo, I have to delete the entry and re-enter it.
  • Lovin' that Fungi

Finally, the definitive app for those bold enough to source their meals from local forage-ables. Impressively thorough species lists and intuitive menus make documentation a snap, and sharing is a pleasure with the gorgeous interface and handy mail link. Love the seamless map integration, and the off-line accessibility.

I'm thrilled to grab this app for such a low price (early bird getting the proverbial new-release worm here), though it would be a steal at ten times higher. I do hope the developer enables the option to self-title some species, as this would really open up its utility in other pursuits (game hunting, outdoor sculpture touring, etc.), and perhaps even add a social-mycological-networking element at some point.

End of the day: great app.
