We're listening, and we love you. We know that the new version of GAIN is missing some of the features you know & love, which is why we are working hard to bring them back, but better than ever. Protocol Editing - you can now log weights and reps by touching 'Edit' in the top right hand corner. This will adjust the workout playback dynamically! Favorites - You can bookmark your favorite workouts for easy access at the top of list! Easier Preview - You can now preview the workouts without downloading them! We want to make sure we keep things clean and efficient, so stick with us (and keep working out!) while we continue to improve the GAIN app rapidly. This release also features some design improvements, a few bug fixes, and speeds up workout loading. As always, please send us your feedback. Keep on keepin' on, The GAIN Team

BIG CHANGES IN VERSION 8.0! We fully upgraded the workout experience, developed from over 2 years of extensive testing and iteration. These bigger/faster/stronger apps will also include: - A fresher audio-visual experience - Major performance improvements (no more “loading” issues) - Hand-crafted workouts from expert trainers (no more algorithms) - More exercises for FREE (no more premium “expansion packs”) These changes mark our renewed focus on the self-guided workout apps—they will benefit from increased attention and continuous improvement going forward. HOLD THE PLANK, CHARLIE! In order to streamline and simplify our apps, we removed some of the less popular features from our previous app versions. Namely, versions 8.0 will no longer offer: - Algorithmic workout building - Workout buddies - Workout history (initially) - GAIN Plan (we'll bring this back, but in a different way) While it’s difficult to cut features, we are confident that this simplification will create a better app experience for GAIN users going forward. NOTE: You may choose not to upgrade to this version in case you really want to maintain your existing workouts (and not get access to all the amazing, fresh, new workouts and content coming down the pipe). If you go this route, you will no longer be able to generate new workouts or plans, but you WILL be able to access all your existing workouts. It's. Your. Prerogative. Keep on, The GAIN Fitness Team

This exciting update is long overdue. Version 8.4 is a big one that includes HealthKit integration, iOS8 support and a myriad of bug fixes, performance improvements and some visual updates! Here's the skinny: • iOS 8 support • HealthKit integration! At the end of your workout, touch the 'Connect' button in the top left. We'll sync your active calories and workouts to HealthKit so you can view your data across a variety of other compatible apps and devices. • Updated branding - the new GAIN logo is officially here. • Upgraded Facebook authentication and upgraded to 2.0. • Fixed a seemingly infinite syncing issue. • Several other bug fixes and performance enhancements.

One-liner: major bug fixes, plus corrected screenshots for iOS7 redesign. ---------------------------------------- Whoops! Looks like Kris Kringle had a bit of coal in our stockings this year. The last version of our app, v7.0, was corrupted with some pretty bad bugs, which caused some pain-in-the-arse loading/re-loading issues. Definitely not the "hurts so good" kind of pain (like you get after doing a dropset of EZ bar curls). By the time we learned about the bugs, the GAIN team had already disbursed to Miami, California, Brazil, New York, Pennsylvania and Germany (where we're from) for the elusive "holidays." We heard from many of you how painful the bugs were, and, believe us, it really cramped our workout styles, too! Fortunately, we're back in business now. This update fixes the pack re-loading, syncing and blocked Plan issues (along with a few other nips, tucks and un-typos). We’ve got your (well-defined) back. If you experienced any of these issues during the past couple of weeks, drop us a line (support at gainfitness dot com), and we'll hook you up. And no more holiday vacations for us! Gaining fitness doesn’t know no “holidays.”

iOS 7, Meet GAIN 7.0. Our latest and greatest GAIN Fitness apps come at you with a refreshing new iOS7'y look, delightful new touch gestures, fewer bugs and, best of all, the most hands-free strength tracking experience you’ve ever encountered! You’ll find the new apps cleaner and simpler, while still allowing all of the customization power you've come to know and love. We could go on, but let’s break it down to bullets: • POCKET MODE. Use kinetic gestures to control the app instruction and log data. Pocket Mode enables you to simply “tap-tap” your mobile device when you’ve finished a set or wish to end your rest, without removing the device from your pocket. This will make your guided workout experience smoother than (low-fat) butter. • SWIPE GESTURES in Workout Mode. Go ahead and swipe up and down to switch between instruction and logging view in Workout Mode. You no longer need to use a jarring tap to get your weights logged – a smooth swipe now does the trick. Save your full efforts for the dumbbells. • BEAUTIFUL NEW SCREENS for Workout Summary, GAIN Plan, Loading Screen and Workout Buddy Feed. You're gonna love 'em! With New Years right around the corner, it’s time to get busy again. Flush your excuses down the toilet and get back to regular GAIN training in 2014! Sincerely, The GAIN Team

Honey, we shrunk the app! We're constantly trying to improve our users' experience, so we figured we'd stop hogging so much space on your phone! Don't get us wrong, these high quality image and audio assets still take up some space, but we're doing what we can. As always, leave some love in the app store when you get a chance, and stay fit!
