Leaned a lot, very glitchy
My 8yo has learned a TON watching the videos and playing bots over the last two years. Heโs the best player in our town.
However Iโve spent more time, and I mean a LOT more time trying to FIX the app when playing slow chess, than playing. We try so hard to allow him to play slow chess remotely with his dad while heโs traveling and it always malfunctions somehow. Logs into the wrong player, doesnโt update a move, freezes. It really interrupts the enthusiasm and makes playing chess on the app feel like a pain.

Chess kids is a great game and it has helped me prepare for an upcoming tournament. But, lots of features need you to upgrade to gold (premium) which is quite annoying, but most of the bots are free, and you can play unlimited online games if you sign up with your email.
Overall, Chess for Kids is a great game and Iโd recommend it.Show lessA random chess girl

Chess players Have to play a fair game to win an award in the end of the game

It is the best kid chess app
I really like this app. I donโt have to worry about privacy, and the puzzles are fun even when you donโt know what the answer is. The lessons although sometimes tough their fun. The videos are always fun to watch. I was watching the latest beat funmastermike when someone did something, and he still didnโt say names or what they did. Why this game is perfect is because if you don't know how to play or you forget how to move a peice you can go to a part of the game and there is a whole section on where you can get that info. Another reason is that when your playing you can play against bots and when you play against bots there is a hint button on how to get check. I want to apologize for this review. My daughter plays this at her school for chess team practice. Her school had too many students sign up for the team so, after two weeks of after school practice and two mini tournaments, they told us parents that in order to compete in the district competition they would have to choose only 10 students to remain on the team and cut the rest of them. They also said they would make the decision based on the tournament results AS WELL as the amount of time each student had used ChessKid to practice (at school and at home). This info was shared the day she wrote this review. And because she was not practicing enough and had to spend a nice chunk of her Sunday playing ChessKid (so she would have a better chance of staying on the team), she wrote a rude review. She willingly chose to practice that day, btw. She begged to join the team in the first place. So I know she enjoys playing ChessKid, but only when she wants to. I apologize for her nasty attitude and have changed the star count. This is an excellent app, and Iโm sorry about herโฆ 5โญ๏ธShow lessTheReviewer2.0๐ป

Chess Kids is just better. It has multiple lessons that bring your strategy to your full potential. You can face many bots or a realistic version of all the chess masters. Puzzles are included to test your ability to find skewers, checks, mates, and many other things. You can face chess players from around the world in matches and tournaments. Fun clubs are available to improve your skills. If anything, you should use this chess app. I use it and I have won many tournaments in real life.Show lessChesskiduser
