Frequently freezes and causes me to lose work
Without fail at least once per month I will be unable to finish my work because the app crashes every time I click the forward arrow to get to the screen to save the video. It happens randomly for no discernible reason.
It always persists no matter what effect I use, how many time I close and re open the app, or even if I fully shut down my phone and restart it. Then when I try using the app to do the exact same thing just a few days later it inexplicably works even though nothing has changed. However this time it hasn’t fixed itself and this is day 4 of having the issue…
I have submitted complaints to the company before about this same issue and there have been no bug fixes at all. I wish they cared more about fixing this because I rely on glitche for certain effects in my projects often and it seriously messes up productions when the app won’t work for no reason.Show lessdamon humble
Still doesn’t work great 10 years on
I’ve been using this app and putting up with some harsh usability issues because the tools it provides are really that useful. After using this app for 10 years I finally decided to pay for the team’s hard work, and good on them for offering a permanent license instead of shafting everyone with a subscription.
But I pay for pro in the middle of a project, and still can’t save in high res. My mistake, let’s restart and make a unique approximation of the project. Oh? A pop up survey to ask if I like the app? Well, I just forked over a lot of money, and I’m kind of in the middle of something. How about never serve me a pop up survey? Never ever ever. it loses value every update
I didnt mind paying for the app because I assumed I’d be able to access cool features in the app, and I did, back in 2019, and it was worth it. When they introduced subscriptions I firmed the 6.99 and when that was too pricey I knew since the app already cost something I’d still access most of what I needed. Now however, the subscription is ridiculously priced for somethings that has only added 2 new effects since 2019 and locked off the effects I was already used to using behind a paywall now even giving an unmovable watermark for videos😀 and you have to remove them from images despite that already being what you’ve paid for. Why a one star review for a perfect product?
Because it keeps repeatedly spamming me to review it and it is my prerogative not to as I already pay you monthly for the product. It should leave me alone and let me do my work. So since you DEMAND that I review your product that I already subscribe to before I can continue to use it, I will. I purchased this product PERMANENTLY at a set price when it first came out which the company later illegally RENEGED on to charge me a monthly fee in order to use. It is now several hundred dollars to use it permanently, even though I already paid to use it permanently when the price was much cheaper. This, doubled with the fact that your product will not leave me alone until I write a review is why what should be a five star product gets ONE star. How do you like your review guys? Was that algorithm you used to force your users to review worth it? I’ll change it to five if you 1) Stop the product from bothering me to review it and 2) give me access to the permanent working product which I already paid for yet am still charged a monthly fee to have access to. If there is a reply from the company below this before my review has changed to five stars please know that the person answering this post absolutely knows the company is shady and still is just trying to give you lip service with absolutely no intention of fixing the issues, making them a liar, so don’t believe a word they say.Show lesszombificationafy

look i love this app. i remember years ago when i first found this app and it was literally like no other. but now it’s like why ask for more when we paid for the app already? i could careless about the weekly, monthly or yearly access for which i’m not gonna buy. WHY is there a glitché logo every time you want to edit a photo and you have to press X everytime you start a new project it’s so annoying. even if you want to go back to get rid of it you can’t because you’ll just have to trash the whole project. there no option to even remove it at all. Nice update but..
I guess that now that celebrities and musicians are using the app, they’re charging celebrity prices! The app update notes mention you can use all features for under $2. What it doesn’t mention is that there’s now subscription tiers, so that’s under $2 PER MONTH. It’ll cost you almost $35 (!!!) to unlock this “pro” tier permanently as a one-time cost. Update at your own risk. I will admit that some of the old filters got a nice upgrade, like the gradient filter. Ability to import gifs is nice too. Just a little let down that after I’ve spent like $9 to unlock “everything” it’s no longer “everything.”
Update 12/21: monthly subscription prices have gone up, and they’ve raised the price of the one-time “lifetime” Pro purchase by almost double, I guess to peel some extra bucks from NTF dudes since they’re hyping NFT creation. Some of the interface updates are decent improvements but there’s still somewhat of a learning curve.Show lessGood Worker Bee
Premium Apps Come at Premium Prices
This review would be 5 stars, but a few filters in the app are buggy and don’t produce the preview when rendered to the final image/video you save. The pixel filter is one of them. Scaling a photo or video warps it in a way that doesn’t match the preview. The 3d feature is cool, I wish I could import my own model.
Other than the above, the amount of power packed into this streamlined app is astounding. The premium features are a bit pricey, but given you could use this to create professional-quality videos, I think it’s worth it. If you’re new to it, familiarize yourself with the free features first. It’s pretty easy to use for beginners, but does have a decent learning curve and takes time to master.Show less« Ethan »
Do yourself a favor and buy this app
I dont really get why this app gets so much hate in the reviews other than the overpriced subscription fees. I can honestly say I love this app. I have been using it for over a year and a half and haven’t problem with it other than the occasional bug when I go back to editing after saving a photo, but even then the bugs make the photos look interesting! I do not recommend it to those who are unwilling to or can’t pay for the subscription, but I can confidently say that I have had so much fun experimenting with this app. Thank you Glitché :)Show lesshre01
Amazing Glitch Editor
I’m one of those people who doesn’t write reviews very often, but I felt I had to write a review for this app. This is some of the most advanced technology I think I’ve seen with any photo/video editing app in a long time. As a person who does deep editing myself, I know how much time it takes to make certain glitch effects come to life, nevertheless actually available as a preset for users to stick on to any photo or video. Such labor-some edits available at the press of a button isn’t something that should be taken for granted here folks...this is truly amazing stuff. Technology at its finest. The price may be a little costly, perhaps to some, but in comparison to the time, learning, and money you would have to spend to purchase the software to do some of this stuff yourself, it’s worth every penny - hands down. Put things into perspective.
To the developer team; yes, it would’ve been nice to know the full price of things up front, but I also understand the psychology of marketing so that’s that. You guys have made an absolutely awesome app here and I look forward to using this for my creative purposes. Amazing work.Show lessACMoses6
Can’t restore purchases
I’m subscribed to the one month pro subscription. When I try to use pro functions it pops up the most annoying and frustrating pop up I’ve ever experience. “A go to for any modern professional photographer” and I bought it just so I didn’t have to hear that again. I was at 5 stars but until I can get what I’m currently and will be continuing to pay for (cause I’m an idiot and hopeful they will fix this soon) it’s gunna stay that way. If I could give it 0 stars for its current state I would. I love this app and am very displeased. I use it once in a blue moon, and although I’ve been paying for a year now. And maybe used it 20 or so times. I can’t. I haven’t used it in a long time and now I still can’t. Thanks for nothing (as of right now)
