It's going to get flashy with this update, be prepared for:
Global light fade time
You can now have a longer/shorter fade time in the app when toggling lights, selecting a color or (Magic) scene.
Go to Settings->Light fade time at the bottom and select whatever you want in a range between 0 and 10 seconds (use scrubbing for fine tuning the time).
These times also also automatically applied when adding new timers or adding new actions for devices (note that it won't change the time for existing device actions nor existing timers).
(Available for every Member)
Effect options
You can now edit the options of Hue light effects after selecting an effect in the effects menu of a light. Simply open the same menu again, then select "Effect options", and set speed and color to your likings.
In addition to this, effect colors and speeds are also supported via drag & drop by now.
Note: Availability depends on latest bridge firmware (1.67), and your lights support them.
(Available for every Member or w/ 2024 upgrade or when purchased in 2024)
Other detail improvements

After an update the free widgets now require a premium membership subscription… this was a great app.

Hello CK____1,
we're sorry to hear you feel that way, however, what you say is not based on the facts.
We introduced Home Widget support end of May 2024 as an addition to the classic widgets we supported. We ALSO informed you and all other users on how the Home Widgets are available: You'll get one small and one medium Home Widget with the 2024 upgrade (which is no Membership/subscription). If you want to go beyond that number - which wasn't even possible before - you can do so by taking a Membership.
APPLE did remove support for classic widgets in iOS 18, which wasn’t clear at the point when we added support for Home Widgets - leaving you with Home Widgets as the only option. So if you didn’t like this, please direct your anger to Apple, not to us, who solely offered you an alternative - AND we informed in time about their pricing and that upgrading to iOS 18 will make you lose classic widgets - don’t shoot the messenger!
Home Widgets were additional work to us, as they work entirely different to classic widgets, so, as usual, they are available with an upgrade, and their costs have been clear from day one.
Please note that our work costs money, as does yours, so in order to be able to fund our work, we need to get it paid. Rating us negatively for getting our work paid is not only unfair to us, it punishes us for having our work done in time - you had an alternative to classic widgets - but also for transparently informing about that matter.
We don’t think this review represents our transparent information nor the quality and timing of our information and dedication for this app in a fair way. You need to get your work paid, and so do we. Without getting our work paid, this app cannot be improved and supported in the future.
