  • Not free

    I downloaded this app mainly to be able to find content ratings for books. This app makes you PAY after reading 3 reviews. I can get the same content ratings for movies FREE on imbd. I shouldn’t have to pay to do the same for books. I would really love for someone to develop a site like imbd for books.

  • Great resource

    Common Sense Media might not have EVERY book, movie, and show that my son requests, but wow they have a lot. Love the fact that reviews include details about language, romance, and violence.

  • How is everyone logging in?!

    I’ve had a common sense media account forever. I even donate.
    I’ve reset my password like 4 times trying to just get this app to work. Never does. Constant “Oops”. Go to website, can login fine us8mg exact same credentials. Back to the app: “Oops…”. Sure wish I could be apart of the 4.8 out 5 stars crowd…but this thing just takes of space on my screen. Also appears the only way to maybe get a response from them is to leave a bad review…so here goes nothing!

    This app is really good at rating content, but could work on explaining some lower numbers that seem like they require higher ratings.

  • Best movie reviews for parents

    This has been my go to reference when checking a movie before we watch with my kids. I have relied on this common sense media platform 100%. IMDB is trash compared to this movie review and reference.

  • I wish someone would help parents without charging money

    I think the app overall is okay. When I realized I had to pay for it, deleted immediately. I would rather have a few adds for relevant products for families than pay for something I can search for on the internet. I also was disappointed about the way the filters work. If you have little boys, the books that are more likely to be enjoyed by them are at the bottom. Something that could have been awesome impacted by virtue signaling and money making.

That means our reviewers can continue to put kids' healthy development front and center, keeping kids and families in mind every time they create the age rating and parents' guide for a movie, show, book, game, or app. Lastly, about the filter issue: could you clarify what you mean by "books that are more likely to be enjoyed by them are at the bottom"?   • Good app but a major problem

    Whenever I try to log in (I’m 11 so I chose kids) and I fill out the information and my parents email I ask my mom to check my email but the email never shows up!

  • Great App, Very Useful

    I use this app everytime I watch a movie with my girlfriend, make sure there isn’t anything crazy in the movie, we like watching the romance movies, but not the intense romance, I also use this for me if I am watching a movie by myself. This app is great, and Common Sense Media is very helpful!

  • Look at parents and kids reviews

    Whoever reviews stuff on this app needs to be fired. The reviews are the most exaggerated complaints I’ve ever seen.
