  • Uploading? Maybe, maybe not.

    This is the third time I’ve tried to upload a receipt and it just gets stuck. Only way to resolve it is to delete the app and download it again. There is no way to delete the stuck receipt, it will not eventually upload either on WiFi or cellular, no way to report this issue on the website, so my only option is to leave a review. Can someone please help?

  • Doesn’t Recognize the Tip line

    The OCR doesn’t recognize the handwritten tip and total at all (only recognizes the pre-tip total) and there is no way to override this or correct it once uploaded. This causes the receipt upload to be worthless once in Chrome River because it doesn’t automatically attach to the expense and even worse chrome River won’t allow you to just attach it anyway because the program thinks the totals don’t match because Emburse has a different total associated with it and won’t allow it. So you have to download the receipt to your phone camera from Emburse and then upload yourself into chrome river.

    Completely worthless app and total downgrade from Snap.

    I’ll have to go back to keeping paper receipts and just uploading within the Chrome River app itself. What a pain.

  • Can’t even login

    Enter in my user id, password and company name and it won’t let me click on the login button. Tried it on my iPad afterwards and it wouldn’t let me enter numbers or symbols. Absolute trash app.

    Loving the new app’s look and feel! Been told this app is replacing CR snap and it slots right in perfectly for me.

  • Camera

    Why is the camera in super zoom mode such that you have to be a significant distance from the receipt to fit it into the screen?

    We've fixed a bug affecting Pro and Pro Max users that caused blurry photos. The update ensures you can now capture clear and focused images. Regarding the camera lens choice, our app uses the Primary lens (1x) instead of the telephoto (3x) or ultra-wide (0.5x) lenses. The Primary lens offers the highest resolution and avoids edge distortion, unlike the ultra-wide lens which is ideal for landscapes but not close-up shots. For capturing receipts, the Primary lens needs about 6 inches of distance for optimal clarity, whereas the ultra-wide lens causes noticeable distortion at close range. This clarity is crucial for our OCR processing to accurately extract information. We value your feedback and have documented it for future improvements.   • Low functionality

    App has minimal functions, important feature of being able to upload receipt picture from photos disappeared overnight.

  • No way to enter total

    The new app doesn’t have a place in details to enter the total like CR Snap. Thus, not allowing the system to auto match transactions & receipts on the back end.

    Hello! We have been making a calculated decision on this part to remove the need for users to enter totals for receipts. We've made a significant push to improve our OCR to understand handwriting and improve accuracy for receipts to make this unnecessary for users. Many of these improvements have been rolled out for U.S. users already. This doesn't mean that if the need truly is not being met that we won't include this capability again in the application, so we are keeping a close eye on the feedback. We hope that you will work with us to improve the OCR to the point that you feel it unnecessary as well to enter receipt totals. You can notify ocr@chromeriver.com for any receipts you feel did not extract correctly and we'll include that in our training data. Thanks!
  • Upload to Chrome river very slow

    The CR snap app uploads quickly, this app seems to take hours. I don’t see where it is an improvement.

    Hello, I've noticed that this issue appears to have occurred on an older version of the application. We sincerely apologize if the app was not loading correctly for some users. However, we have resolved our authentication redirect issue since the version you were using. If your company has setup their SSO for the mobile app, then you should be able to log in now. The app is designed to load instantly just like, if not faster than, CR SNAP. Thanks!
  • Upload a PDF?

    I often have PDF receipts, but the new app has no way to upload them.

    ChromeRiver email ingestion is spotty at times, so having the ability to browse a file is important.

We have plans to implement this functionality and we understand the simplicity of sending all your receipts through a single point source for our users.
