Great game to make friends!

Cozy, chill game with lots of missions & goals. Chat with people all over the world and join forces to grow strong individually and as a club. Build your campus, enhance your heroes, and gain knowledge along the way. You can pay to play, but you can absolutely game without spending a dime. Be sure to join a club and choose wisely- some are out to wreak havoc and others are there to have fun. The number one rule is to shield up on Battle Royale day or whenever you’re OC with resources! Come join the madness- I promise it’ll be a good time with good friends! 🙂

money grabber

the game moving away from the dust heroes is one of the worst things it could’ve done. originally, different characters of different rankings could be bought with different color dust. the dust could be won by competing in the events/challenges every day, and this was a really fun system! it allowed people who didn’t want to pay to still obtain their favorite heroes!

however, now heroes are only purchased through gems. you can only get the gems through ads, challenges like downloading other apps (which the links don’t work for btw), or paying for them. you only get 100 gems a day, and some of the better heroes cost 2K gems a day to get 1 shard. maybe two if you’re lucky. it costs 100 shards to unlock the character.

so, it takes you 20 days to do ONE pull for a character. if you only get one shard at a time, you multiply that by 100. which means. it would take 2,000 days to unlock one character. which is absolutely ridiculous. that’s literally insane.

this game used to be so much more fun with the dust heroes. it made me actually want to compete in the challenges and tournaments. it pushed me to play this game more often. now, it’s just boring and the only reason i’m still here is for my club mates. even then i’m barely active.

Love the aesthetic and story hate the game play…

Basically pay to win, way too much grinding, wildly long wait times to upgrade. If there was some way to equip avatars or make your school individual between waiting for things to move forward that would be something. But it’s basically set up to force you to pay for any progress. It’s also almost impossible to expand your players once again without money. Unfortunate, bc with the overall vibe, people would probably be willing to play and pay if there was actually something to do in game besides realize that your next upgrade is going to take 8 hours unless you pay for it to go faster…

Big Cash Needed

Like all A Thinking Ape games, it started off lots of fun. But also like them all, eventually they start to squeeze it for cash too much and it becomes impossible to play at any competitive level without lots of spending.

Their games are addictive and highly social and really fun to play. Then this developer starts to make too much of the game inaccessible, unless you spend a lot every month. They appear to be making that move lately, so the free players and low spenders will begin to exit the game before long, leaving the big spenders with not enough people to play with and against. Then the developer will reskin the basic game, call it a new game and start the cycle over.

I wanted to love it BUT

There are too few games that are positive about witches. I really wanted to love this game. I spent some money up front, to support the devs. But the longer I play, the lower my opinion of the game. It’s a cash grab. The only way to the top is to spend THOUSANDS of dollars. Just to buy one hero can be $200. Then there’s what they call Battle Royale. It’s every week, a newbie bashing frenzy where accounts 10 times stronger will destroy littler players. To avoid that you can set an alarm and log in every 8 hours to use a free shield that you grind for, or you can BUY a 24 hour shield. And it’s like that with every single thing. It’s a cash grab. I wanted to love this game. But I have come to hate it.

Game required huge purchases to be competitive

You cannot play this game competitively without spending hundreds and every month they take out something they were offering for free to play players and mark it up hugely. Heroes are no longer free through rewards from the meta quest. Now you must spend $100 on each new hero. Yes $100 and that’s the cheaper option. The coin rewards from the meta event are now only used for avatars so now to gain large quantities of dust you must buy their $20+ packages which don’t even give you much. Game has become completely a cash grab with no care. Player counts crashing on the realms, pay to play players that have spent thousands sit and harass the free to play players making it impossible to grow. Stay away unless you are willing to spend $100+ monthly.

Don’t install this game

Don’t install this game, don’t put money in this game. Has thousands of currencies and developers only wants your money, community it’s mostly toxic and they don’t have a moderator to control the chat, they will silence for a while but ppl will just get silenced and continue with their toxic behaviour. The game is glitching bad and I’m talking from someone that invested over £4000 and you can lose all your money in a second. Don’t be like me don’t pay anything.

Mod team allows bullies

I LOVE this game and most players are dope and adhere to some realm rules. There is a particular player called ZAAP who continues to zero players across the realm for fun. I’ve invested money in this game meaning that ZAAP has stolen money as well as interest. What is the point of playing if the moderator team allows one person to obliterate the realm. Is this game just for ZAAP? I wish I could give less stars. If the moderators addressed the ONE thief it could be so great. If you play I suggest you withdraw financial support to teach the creators that rules should be amended to protect from ONE person who ruins the game for everyone. Extremely disappointed

Hi there, Witch Arcana is inherently a PvP game! That said, there are various ways to protect oneself ex. building your campus, strengthening your marches, shielding, moving realms, hiding summons within a club member etc. The point system for Battle Royale also limits players to attack within their general rank, or else no points will be garnered!

I love this game!

I’m not a person who plays alot of games, but this game really got me hooked! I love the artistic design of the game, and also the way it’s set-up. Everything about this game is your choice. You can play solo or with a club (team) of other online players. You can do the quests or go at your own speed. You can earn rewards or pay for them in the App Store for upgrades. It’s a great game.
