Definitely Unfair to the Bot advantage but good tool to learn the game
Honestly the title says it all. I’ve never rated an app on the App Store - let alone write a review - but omg is this game rigged. The bot is stacked and the app designers blame it on “statistical probability”🙄. Don’t get me wrong, the app itself it nice and the ads aren’t too annoying but nothing in the world makes me rage more than playing against this bot.Show lessAnonymousbakinglover

I’m Deleting this app as a lack of random
Throws and chance frankly has removed all the fun of the game. I spend more time saying “of course you got that perfect roll you needed.” Nobody is that lucky. Every single time!
I’ve played Backgammon for many years )”(and achieved “expert level” here. Never have I ever seen an opponent get double 6s nearly every time a man has been held back, or every open one of my men gets hit, repeatedly, or every time I play conservatively, my roll results in numbers that force me to leave a man open - and then, of course, the computer gets the exact roll needed to set me back, and when the computer needs to run the full board, to begin taking off…lo and behold there are the double 6s again. Oh, I got 3 double 6s in a row - when computer’s home space was blocked. Whoopeee. I read There are many reviews complaining another this issue. No kiddingShow lessPgalden

Randomness can sometimes create sequences or patterns that might appear non-random.Not bad!
Been playing for a few days now and so far have enjoyed it. That could be because I keep winning…which makes me think that all the people complaining about fixed dice maybe just aren’t very good 😂 There are other backgammon games out there that are MUCH worse for rigged dice, although strangely enough they always respond to complaints by saying that they use a random number generator too, which makes me wonder about the developers of this one!
Also the adverts are a bit annoying, but aren’t too intrusive given that they’re necessary for the game to be available for free.
Main downside is the complete lack of game stats, so you have no record of how well (or otherwise) you’ve done over time. Bit of a miss compared to other games out there.Show lessGigglespip
