Man, I just downloaded this app and I’m really digging it. I’ve noticed there is not a feature that will allow you to alphabetize your recipes, and the app doesn’t read the text inside the videos of recipes to populate a written recipe with ingredients and instructions; this app would offer more convenience with those features. Otherwise, I’m liking the app so far (especially with the “household recipe sharing” feature), and am looking forward to seeing what the next update will provide feature-wise!
After using Deglaze I can’t imagine cooking without it. I finally have all of my recipes in one place—recipes from NYT, Instagram, my favorite blogs and creators, everything! It also lets you easily search and add new recipes. And the integrated grocery list has turned cooking during the week from an aspirational goal to a reality.
This app is beautiful. I wish recipes opened in X-ray mode instead of web. If you could swap that or make it an option. Web with ads makes the app feel clunky. If recipes opened in X-ray mode it would feel and look so much nicer. Also need a dark mode and shopping list to use the iOS reminders app. But the ladder isn’t a big deal
The ability to pull in recipes from all my favorite places, the integrated timer and shopping lists, being able to toggle easily between ingredients and directions, and getting recipe ideas from the deglaze community all make this the most functional cooking app I’ve used yet.
I never write reviews, but figure this one warrants one. I do a lot of cooking from bookmarked website recipes, but the ads and bulk of SEO copy was a significant pain point that almost drove me back to an index card system. And along comes this app in my feed. To say it solved my problems and then some is an understatement—the x-ray view, embedded timers, shopping lists etc. are all incredible. Game changingly so for me. Simply put, cooking is more enjoyable for having this app.
My recipe collection was a mess before Deglaze! In addition to the search and shopping list features, I’m more organized from planning and preparation to execution. I’ve always enjoyed cooking but Deglaze helps keep me inspired as I try new dishes every week. I love this app and community!
Deglaze has helped me cook more over the last year than any other point in my life. It simplifies the grocery shopping experience, gives you a constant stream of inspirational recipes through the social feed, and helps you stay organized through cooking process. I highly recommend Deglaze to everyone who cooks and even just helps grocery shop.
I am not a good chef and I’ve never been into cooking, but I’ve found Deglaze to be super engaging and enjoyable to use. It’s fun to see what my friends are cooking and even pick up some recipe ideas to share with my partner. The app is easy to use and navigate, and it feels like using Instagram but for food. Highly recommend for the chef and non-chef - all you need is an empty stomach!
I used to use multiple apps to aggregate recipes, manage the shopping list, and meal plan. With Deglaze, I now only use one app because it does it all! Quickly adding all the recipe ingredients into an easy-to-manage shopping list is an absolute game changer and why I love this app. A must download for home cooks!
As a long time paprika user, I had a pretty solid routine down, but was excited to try something new. I’m happy to say that it’s a very functional well designed app. Im also happy that there continues to be new developments coming to the app, since nothing has upgraded on paprika in many years.
