I would have given this 5 stars, were it not the expense of using the "pro" version. You only get a few recordings on the free version before needing to switch.
In order to really use an app like this, it must become your "go to" app for recording messages. Unfortunately, that means you must use the "pro" version.MikeClevel
It's pretty good; make some small improvements
My use case is taking down verbal TODOs. It's far better and more reliable than using Siri via "Siri, email me XYZ" or any other app I've found, so I'll likely use the subscription plan. Here's feedback for the developer:
* Make it possible to contact you -- add an email address/button to whispermemos.com. I would've emailed you this feedback.
* Remove the auto-selected emojis from the emailed subject line. They're seemingly random and distracting.
* Remove [whisper] from the subject line. This and the emojis squeeze out the rest of the subject on small displays. The messages are already easy to filter because of the sender.
* Consider reducing the subscription price. It's half the monthly price of Netflix!Phil Crosby

Extremley useful
When I first downloaded whisper I was unsure how much I was going to use it. I was worried itd be one of those apps I open once and forget about. But, that was not the case. It has been a week and I've recorded nearly 50 memos. From items for my grocery list, things to do around the house, marketing campaigns for my startups, and more. It has been perhpas he most effective way for me to capture the millions of things that pass through my head everyday in a quick and efficent manner. It is barebones which is perfect, no need to overcomplicate it. For someone like me that is always on the road, traveling and just generally busy whisper fits in perfectly with my needs.Badgmp

Cant log in
The log in via email method is broken. The link should open in your app but it doesn’t. It opens in the web browser.
If you can’t log in then you can’t use the app. So the app is completely inert.constanto

I don’t think the transcription is that good as it stands. For example, I keep saying trying to write a memo to stain some wood I have, and it seems to only want to put down something like “staying the wood” or “stay in the wood”

The outcome is not very accurate.
I've used it a few times now. I try to enunciate and speak clearly, yet it does not seem to parse my speech very accurately. e.g., I say 'prescription,' and it writes 'description.' I say "Shane", it writes "Shame". I say 'dwelling,' it writes 'twaling.'
