killing it!
i don’t usually write reviews for anything but it’s been a few months now on retro and it solves every problem other socials have for me… i can backload all my photos so quickly since it automatically sorts them, i can upload as much or as little as i want and it’s perfectly refined in the cute recaps. the home feed shows me everything from each of my friends in chronological order, no algorithms to mess with. i really want to try the post cards when i have something worth it!
i also want to try journals with my friends once i get them hooked 😎 better than a shared album i think. faster!

Online networks have changed.
We could easily say that the internet is now divided in four large chunks: services, Consumer, Content and News Networks, where in all of them, we are the Product.
Social is somewhere else..
If we were truly honest - or in overall better health with each other - we would only truly call a "social network" something like Retro.
No products. No algos. Just us.

Favorite social media platform!
I love the simplicity of this app. No filters on life. Just a place to document and capture moments each week and great features that allow you to reflect back and recap it all. It’s got all the best features without any of the noise, ads, or negativity that come with other platforms. I highly recommend checking it out!!!!!

Friends only, just simple pictures and videos. Very cleverly thought out weekly posting. I love it.

And that’s pretty much exactly what this is. It’s completely safe and just fun to share photos! I hope it never changes!!! One small thing which isn’t the app’s fault is that most people haven’t heard of it so I have to explain it to them and get them to download it. More people should know about this, it’s a great app!

the best social media
this is my favorite app of all time and my favorite way to stay in the loop in my friends’ lives. No growth hacking and trying to make you use the app constantly (like lapse). It’s a journal for me to remember the important moments and a way for the friend who I don’t text on the regular to still stay in the loop about what im up to.

Terrible app
Absolutely terrible app i ordered a post card on the 29th of September it said it would take 5 weeks to get to the person it is now November and no postcard has been delivered i got in touch with them on instagram to get no help whatsoever never getting this app again its a scam.

As someone who is always looking for ways to truly connect with people in meaningful and heartfelt ways this app has definitely helped fill a gap with any friends and family that I don’t get to see often but still want to share life with. While Instagram has become so crowded and basically like another form of google this app is more like sharing a scrapbook with those closest to you and I can’t get enough. I’m very selective with who I add on here quite intentionally and the close knit feeling is exactly what I wanted! I use it as a visual/shareable gratitude journal and because it’s so private everyone feels safe sharing little snippets of real life verses the Instagram worthy rendition and I love it. If you are looking for a way to connect with loved ones in a healthy way definitely consider this app.
