Gets the Job Done
This extension works! I’m happy I bought it, now I can block keywords on my safari easily :)Does not work
I followed the directions exactly. I entered a new keyword to block and it shows up on webpages. Don't waste your money or time.Developer Response
Thank you for your review! I apologize for the inconvenience. > I followed the directions exactly. I entered a new keyword to block and it shows up on webpages. I understand that you followed the guide in the app but keyword blocking didn't work. If you are interested, please try the following steps. I hope this helps. 1. Go to the "Settings" app > "Safari" > "Extensions" > "EmoGuard - Keyword Blocker". Make sure "All Websites" is set to "Allow" under PERMISSIONS. 2. Open EmoGuard in Safari and please check whether the keyword you want to block is registered in the "Blocklist" tab. If the same keyword is registered in the "Whitelist" tab, the block will be cancelled. 3. Open EmoGuard on the website you want to block keywords and please make sure the power button icon is turned on. The icon should be blue. 4. If the target you want to block is an image or link, you can increase the probability of blocking by setting "Keyword detection sensitivity" to "High" on the options page. 5. If the problem persists, please reset the extension on the options page and try blocking again. 6. If blocking still doesn't work, it may be that the website uses unusual HTML tags. In that case, users can freely add and customize CSS selectors to make blocking work.Great app, would like to see more compatibility with YouTube
Great app. Works well for key words and many images. Would like to see better screening of YouTube thumbnails in a future release.
