Candidates for nursing jobs in the United States, Canada, and Australia are required to pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). Those individuals who are interested in becoming registered nurses take the NCLEX-RN exam, whereas those individuals who are interested in becoming practical nurses take the NCLEX-PN exam.
