It would be good if more than one place accepted halfmoons. Unfortunately most of the businesses on the app that I’ve talked to used to accept halfmoons but don’t anymore because they weren’t being reimbursed for months at a time and there’s also no way for businesses to check how much they are owed. I’ve tried to redeem halfmoons at most of the businesses categorized as places to redeem them but the only place I’ve found that still accepts them is Character Coffee. When I contacted Utica Proud about a business that was categorized as a place to redeem halfmoons and did not accept them, they still told me they do accept them, even though they did not. Seems like a half baked idea that’s predatory on local businesses because what local business can wait 3+ months for the revenue they are owed?
