  • Used the app for nearly a year now!

This app is easily a quintessential part of my continued Christian education.

If you are a Christian leader of any sort, or even just a serious Christian, get this app and try something - even just one session of one course (you probably drive or walk a lot, do it then!) The breadth and depth of content is not just a bunch of egg-heads shaking hands; this is a faith exchange of heart-felt passionate Christians who happen to be experts in their fields.

Between the fact it’s free, the spiritual honesty of all the professors, the high standard for biblical truth, the scholarly insight, and availability to non-Evangelicals, this app is a hidden gem.

My only complaint used to be the clunky and out of date interface, but now it is sleek and fully functional. You rock, Bill!

  • Playback feature while app is closed.

I was noticing playback does not work if the app is not open and phone screen on. I would love to see the app allow you to listen to your classes in the background so you don’t have to have it open all the time. Thanks!
  • App issues

Hi, I love Biblical Training. I love the content, and the look of this new app seems much improved over the old one. That said, I have some major issues with it.
First, the app doesn’t interface with my iOS “Now Playing” functions. This means I have to have the app open to pause, rewind, etc. It also means that Apple CarPlay doesn’t recognize that the app is playing. I can’t use my headphones to pause the audio when my kids want to talk to me, I have to pull my phone out of my pocket, unlock, navigate to the app if needed, and then pause. Very inconvenient.
Second, the app doesn’t keep track of where I was listening. It doesn’t immediately update to show that I’ve finished a lecture. And each time I open the app, any progress I made into a lecture is gone and I need to start over. (I’m playing from downloads)
Lastly, I can’t use the play my downloaded lectures from “my progress” which would seem to be the best place to pick up where I’d left off.

I really hope you can fix these issues, because I love using it. But these inconveniences really interfere with my desire to use it daily.

  • Must have for continuing education

I've been using biblicaltraining.org for years. I don't often sit down and watch lectures. So having the app available to listen to things while I drive or work outdoors is perfect. So much incredible content from so many excellent scholars. Anyone who desires to keep growing should be using this app. I tell everyone I know about it.

Also, the new and improved app looks so fresh and clean and it's extremely intuitive. Keep up the good work Bill Mounce!
