With this version we have added full management of SLF/WhiteRisk avalanche bulletins. thus adding coverage for the entire Swiss territory. The local cache makes sure that if there is no connection, you can still view the latest bulletin, consulted previously.

With this version we have made it even easier to consult snow and avalanche bulletins. When you are in a "map" view, you will always have the (blue) "avalanche bulletins" button clearly visible. By clicking it, you will see in a few moments all the bulletins available for the area on which the map itself is centered. We recently added to the AINEVA bulletins those issued by Meteomont, so we have coverage of the entire Italian Alps and the entire Apennines.

We have improved the overall stability of the application. Now routes and reports can be searched by scrolling the map. The "Observe and Report" function automatically sends user-detected event and avalanche observations to the server.

we've updated the app to support iOS 17.3 and fixe a problem introduced with version 1.6.2, which can cause partial loss of the route traveled. Reports and routes can now be searched on the map for easier selection.

This new version introduces the "Observations" feature. It can be used to collect and share different types of observations; in particular events related to snow conditions, firstly avalanches. By clicking the blue "Observation" button on the home page or while recording an activity, the "New observation" window opens: select the type of event, take one or more picture, enter a short description. All reported avalanches will build an archive made available to any organisation that requests it, free of charge. The more observations we send as users, the more valuable data guys responsible for developing forecasts will have available. In app, you can see all the observations in the area, in real time when connected to the internet, both during the preparation of an excursion and performing your activity.

Version 1.5.3 improves stability and performance, and also adds the Swiss National Map to the available maps. The "Observations" function allows you to report events and automatically send them to the server. In particular, "Avalanche" type observations will be used to populate a database which will be made available free of charge to all entities that request it. These entities will be able to use the observations sent by users to verify and improve their hazard prediction models. Bluerando thus intends to actively contribute to improving the safety of those who, for passion or work, find themselves moving in a snowy mountain environment.

Version 1.5.2 adds the ability to record and send Remarks to the Bluerando server. Each observation can be enriched with images and a description, as well as some additional information specific to the type of event. Other users in the area will be able to take advantage of your observations. Different types of information can be sent, from Points of Interest to water supply points. But the focus, and the main reason why we developed this feature, is the reporting of landslides and avalanches in line with our commitment to contribute to the safety of those who practice activities in a mountain environment. We are working with multiple organizations to help create a shared database of information regarding snow conditions and avalanche events.
