Not Working :(
Worked great for the first week I downloaded …. But lately the main page won’t even load … can’t refresh - looks like a crash to me :(

When it was working it was great but it hasn’t worked in days I go online and my collection is gone very disappointed going to use a different app

I WANT to like this app
I really enjoyed this app, seeing the info and what not.
-Major issue now is I can’t open the app just keeps getting stuck in a loop and turns to a blank screen. I can’t even look at the countless hours I spent uploading comics.
-Another issue is the new stand vs direct edition. A lot of the photos are wrong. Meaning the direct issue cover was on the new stand and vise versa.
-the placement of the buttons of placed in not such great locations.
But the main issue now is I can’t even use the app, I kept trying to show it to my comic friends but everytime I can’t get it to work (not great advertisement I know).
Hope things get fixed, I really wanted to see the selling/buying section, but this worries me if I can’t use the app, will my personal info be safe…..

Great potential
The apps recognition abilities are great and I look forward to seeing the tech development. It seems the pricing is off but that can be fixed later. Great for quick scanning and adding to your collection and to be able to see other people’s collections.
It is confusing when you scan an issue, some versions pop up with a star (⭐️) next to the quality. Is that the app’s estimated quality version?
Looking forward to it adding more trade back recognition in the app.

Moving on to something that works..,
when I first started using the app, it seem to work really well. it got going. The rhythm was really nice and it could scan and say really quick. was hoping that I would be able to scan my entire collection but after reaching over 1000 comics the application wouldn't restart. I updated and tried and tried, and it just will not start back up again. Upon scan and I had high hopes of this app was gonna be easier to get it done. oh well I guess I'll move onto something else and start all over. 😢

Awesome Start With Room For Improvement
First, let me start with saying that I am currently not paying attention to grading and pricing within the app. I’m just trying to get my collection uploaded somewhere as easily as possible.
More often than not, this app excels at what I need it to do. Sometimes a book doesn’t show up properly (or sometimes even at all, especially new books), but it detects the book well most of the time.
The biggest issue I face is the app loading correctly when I open it. A lot of times, it seems like the app is too large for the screen and is stuck loading/buffering. I give it plenty of time to right itself (and, occasionally, it does), but it often just stays that way no matter what I try. The only true resolution I’ve found is to uninstall and reinstall it. But that’s too much work.
As a concept, the app is great. Scan a comic’s cover and it detects its title, number, year, authors, condition, price, etc. An extremely useful tool for collectors. I’m predicting it will get better and better and probably be the go-to app for comics, if it’s not already.
I haven’t checked yet, but I hope there’s some sort of offline report-generating feature. That would be fabulous

Not Reliable
I’ve been cataloging my collection recently with HipComic. From the start I had problems staying connected to their servers; waiting for my collection to load, waiting to load a single comic from another collector just to view it, and slow to scan. For the past 2 days I haven’t been able to use the app at all. I can’t get any data to load. Home page, my collection, scanning… the app shows a basic blue page with the logo then goes to a full black or white screen no matter what I try to do. And best of all: NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT OR CONTACT OPTIONS.

Great!… then doesn’t work
Come on guys, provide an update that fixes the devastating bug already!!! By far the best free app for recognizing most titles and variant covers. All with the ease of taking a picture in the app. Many great features. The only issue I really had was it doesn’t adjust the value for being slabbed.
Like many other users, I scanned a few hundred comics, and was quite happy with this app… THEN it stops working altogether. FATAL BLOW. I’ve been checking back for months hoping for an update to fix this and allow me to continue adding my collection.

Good App! But…
I love this app and the fact that I can keep track of my collection and see the value all in one app but would love if in the next update we could see the app recognize newer issues as well as off shoot series!! Otherwise had fun using it and getting to see value and key issues.
