Anyone that has ever restored a vehicle is keenly aware that every slip of paper, photograph needs to be preserved. Finding a car whether in pristine condition or a total project rebuild always starts with "do you have paperwork on it?" It's a simple request yet paramount, who owned it prior, how many were made, how many owners, the list is endless. Now comes the next question that is only a slight chance if the car was pre cell phone era, photographs. With all that much desired information and the car itself, what the heck do you do with it all?? More notebooks? binders, a drawer where it just thrown into? Keeping your precious vehicle cared for, clean is a priority, and finally the same thing can be for all the receipts, documentation, and photos. Papertrail Auto answers everything I ever needed to not only be able to keep track of all that mess of paperwork, I can even add photos to it. Now comes the icing on the cake, who wants to show off all the historical paperwork when you just want to show off the photos, Papertail Auto has a complete separate section called Stories, When you own a project car, show car, it becomes like a your child, You want to share its first ride, its first cleaning and so on. Since I started using Papertrail I have been cataloging all the different things I have done, and need to do. Restoring an older car requires hours of research and remembering where you saw that part. If it's online you can add it to your do list as a url with notes and photos, or just leave yourself a note with a photo in the todo list. In closing I have spent way too much time just trying to find an app that can store, organize and keep me from drowning in the details and actually enjoy the car. If you are tired of binders and folders, try this app, but keep in mind, you must take the time to fill in the sections. The app will only help and add to your project if you add to it. And I'm sure some of you will ask, do I have to go all the way back to the beginning to enter things? NO! start wherever you want and just align the date stamp, this way you can add old stuff tomorrow and new stuff today. And every so often go into the app and admire all your work, show off your car with the story, and you can even share it on the social feed. Wonderful app, only took me weeks to find it, so glad I did

Can’t recommend enough
I love this app. Use it to track my mods and stories with my trial build on my Jeep. As I make lots of changes often and love being able to look back at the history in one place this app can’t be replaced for me!
No better after update
Can’t even get into the program now. It just has a circle going around but never opens the program.
Waste of time and effort entering my data, notes, to do list on the first place.
Pen and paper so much more reliable.

I'm sorry Peter, this one is entirely our fault. But we can fix it or at least make it right for you. We tracked down your error's cause tonight. It is the result of a patch that sought to increase security but ended up unexpectedly locking out some users. The fix would have been to completely close the app and reopen it. Unfortunately we did not catch wind of the problem soon enough to let users know of it, causing significant frustration. We want to make it right. We've verified that all your data is still there. Though we would love for you to come back (the problem you experienced is patched), if your decision to leave is final please contact us at support@PapertrailForCars.com so we will have your imputted records and cars exported as a PDF and sent to you - or to track down and elimiate any other issues, all under 24 hours. So Convenient
Finally I’ve found an app where I can digitally track my cars’ records! This will be so helpful when I sell my car because I can track the modifications so easily.

This has just what I’ve been needing. I like to keep things important to me organized and Papertrail provides just that for my RAV4. It truly makes life 100 times easier. The cherry on top is that I get to share all of my stories with a community of fellow car enthusiasts. Tracking miles, built in todo lists—there’s nothing more I’d ask for when it comes to an app like Papertrail.

Sharing and tracking my project car
This app has been long-needed. While I've been using insta to share about my car, Papertrail has greatly helped keep everything in order. The document scan feature is SO helpful. Can't wait to see the app grow more and wish the best for Papertrail
Excellent product
Paper trails has allowed me to recently buy a car while making sure I didn’t get screwed over by a scammer. Thank god I was able to track the cars history down. I love how it’s so user friendly and I can’t wait until everyone starts using it. I love paper trail and think this is amazing. Definitely try it out!

Finally!
I have been looking for a way to digitally track my cars’ records for years now. This is the first app I’ve seen that allows you to export your records into a webpage that you can include in a listing. I love tracking my maintenance in one place and being able to explain the entire history of my car to buyers easily. Definitely will be using for years to come!

Fantastic for Car Enthusiasts
I downloaded this application at the suggestion of a friend, and was quickly blown away by how easy it made my record keeping. Gone are the days of putting receipts and files in a cardboard box to keep track of my build!
