Not useable offline

This appears to be the companion app to Andrew Doughty’s travel guides for Hawaii. Those books often refer to the GPS maps available in the app. But even if you pay for and download the data, when you are offline, you can’t access any map info. Which makes it worthless. To make it even worse, even the hike descriptions are not accessible when offline. Only certain commercial services remain in offline mode. Meaning basically only the ads.

Buy the book, skip the app.

The circle with an arrow will download that content and make it available so you can find yourself on the trails and stay on tracks. Some content may take a while to load in out of range areas, but it should load eventually. We have no commercial ads in our app, so we are unsure what you mean exactly by commercial services. Holds up over time

We have been referring to Maui Revealed from paper back to present day. Every detail of our trips for a decade have been based on this site and helped us to save money, avoid common pitfalls while enjoying the most beautiful places, accommodations and restaurants we have ever seen. It got us through COVID times brilliantly as well and all the while with humour and respect for locals and tourists alike. Let’s face it, Maui is becoming more socially complicated and over priced, this site helps you make the most of your precious time there. If you want to make your trip unforgettable get this App.

Made my Hawaii dreams come true!

I’ve never written a review for an app but this one made our trip so wonderful that I keep raving to everyone about it. Hawaii can be a little overwhelming when it comes to planning - choosing places to stay, eat, excursions, etc. This app, combined with the driving tour app, made everything feel so easy and accessible.

Disabled prior app without transferring subscriptions

This replaced the prior app which is GREAT except the subscription didn’t transfer and old app no longer works. I paid 17.99 on 3/5 for the Hawaii content and cannot access in old app anymore and if I want to use new app new subscription. I love the content but boooooo for not taking care of existing customers!

Aloha, we are so sorry you were having issue, and we're always here to help at: app@hawaiirevealed.com. Please reach out concerning your old subscription. The old app has not been disabled and still works, however, we did have an issue with it, that may have caused what you experienced, but we have fixed that issue. We also pulled it from sale in the store, but will keep it working as long as we have users. We are also are offering a 3 month free subscription to any old user that wants to move to the new app. Just send us your email, and proof of purchase and we will get you set up. Again our apologies for any inconvenience.

Amazing app!

Love it, love it, love it! We used this while visiting Kauai and it really helped us find so many cool things.

That have driving tours that are amazing too, and a new Vegas section that I can’t wait to try!!!!

Revealed Travel Guides

Cool new app! It covers the Hawaiian Islands and even Las Vegas. I like that it gives you the flexibility of choosing either monthly or yearly subscriptions. This company also has some really fun audio apps for the islands that narrate what you're seeing and guide you as you drive along. They also include a lot of interesting historical information as well as some really funny true stories.

Definitely a great resource for anyone looking to travel to the Hawaiian islands. Like having the very latest of their travel books in your pocket.
