I am a fellow of CMA - I also work with CMA Online committee operating in the uk. From my perspective as both an app developer and a 12 steps enthusiast - this app is in contradiction to tradition 7 which explicitly states that presence is more important than money, but if possible please donate. This app completely contradicts this tradition by saying money is more important than presence. While Cma app team defend this that by saying that they to charge, also makes no sense when the aa app is completely free to use and from description all the functionality provided can be done now all for free. If Cma needed to make their costs back there were a million other ways in which they could recoup costs - advertising, selling products, asking for donations. But to force a user to submit credit card details is basically promoting a subscription based service, otherwise they get nothing - just screams money making con when today all this does is do free that are currently free and suddenly start charging for them. If no card is given there is no experience. There at least should have a free experience. I used to be an app developer and am surprised this passed apples compliance. Not even a star for me. Wanted to love it - but am disappointed in every way to - as an app developer, as a fellow of the 12 step program - do not even waste your time - all these fundamental elements have more than enough free resources which will give you the abilities this app is trying to promote. To make this app even vaguely useful - there has to be a powerful free experience to this - worth no stars - a completely wasted opportunity for Cma to break into the app hemisphere. You will more value by downloading the free aa app
