Reviews of Aether Gazer

  • It’s unfair…

I was expecting this game to be lacking, due to the ratings and expectations of others. However, I was proven wrong and happen to be now addicted to this game. From the characters, to the voicing acting, to the dialogue. For me, it’s all I ever wanted!
I really like the combat, the team combo moves of whatever you call them. And their idols at the end of each victory, I’d hate to compare, but it’s the best I’ve seen so far. Now, I don’t usually give ratings, I don’t usually go into detail about combat skills or whatever(I don’t have the capacity for such complications) but, this game is definitely worth the experience. Decent voice actors, some of my favorite are even here! And the characters are really good too, have their own personality, unique relationships. But, I’m not really here to analyze each character, I’m just complimenting the game while still trying to wrap my head around the lack of people playing.

  • I love this game but please allow us to play this game while playing music at the same time 😭

Okay sorry for the long title but you have to understand how cool it is to play this game while having music on. This game is so much fun to me especially with the different kinds of characters designs, along with the outfits. The fact you can make any specific characters have a duo ability is so amazing to me as well, I just really want to play this game with headphones on and play my own music at the same time. Overall best game I’ve found and played for almost a year now!
  • Missed Promise

Good: balanced difficulty, fair build tuning, fine outfits, decent rewards, focus on combat, very farmable gacha, extra effort to deliver QoL early, music from Vanguard Sound, cooler kits than Genshin: S Tsuku, S Hades, A Buzenbo are what Ei, Yae, Shinobu should've been.

Mixed: combat design can be unrewarding, just mash skills and ult, little timing and spacing. Some exceptions: S Tsuku (greatly) and S Hades (less so) reward finesse not mashing. Writing misses more than it hits.

Bad: English voiceovers and can't delete them, translation mistakes, rare bugs. The 50/50 gacha is awful, even with the 2+% rate, expanding pool, and weapons exemption. Understaffing: mishaps and extended maintenance that take a day aren’t rare. V2 S chars are too much in power but too little in visual quality and combat complexity compared to v1. Dorm and recent events further drift from combat. Increasingly, this game is just a worse version of PGR and not worth its massive disk usage.
