Good for newbies, not so much for deep collectors
I really want to use/like this app. I’m a UX/UI designer by trade and have run into more than a few barriers and pain points just entering a handful of bottles. There is however a showstopper for me. How single barrel picks are handled. I have 400+ bottles and many of them are SiB picks. I started entering my 4R bottles and can’t easily identify which picks I have of each recipe. For example, it says I have 2 OESK bottles, but it shows me only one proof in the summery view, so I can’t tell if I have multiples of one pick or 1 bottle of many picks or a combination. It’s not apparent who the pick is from (there is a “selected by” field, but it doesn’t seem to translate in the summary or details view), not to mention some important warehouse, run/tier information, and age statement. I actually have 10+ OESK’s all different picks with different proofs. Compound this issue across multiple distilleries/brands and it’s a mess. I can see a lot of potential for the app. It seems like it was designed for/by new and inexperienced collectors aimed primarily at keeping a number count of bottles by type with some nice pictures, not so much for people deep in their whiskey collections.

This app is truly incredible. I also know Sonny who is one of the partners and the vision that him and Trenton have for the app is phenomenal. By far the best bourbon app on the market and it’s going to get better and better as they release more premium features. Thanks for giving us this app and for sharing your passion with all of us. Poor customer service
Spent the time to submit and take photos(front and back) of multiple bottles with good detailed descriptions, to only reject ALL of them because they were “sent in before august 9 and we are cleaning up our data” so told to just resubmit them and do all the work again… would not suggest spending any time trying to make their app better!!!!bbbbbbbllllllaaaakkkkeeee

Hey Blake - sorry to hear about your experience here. We were trying to figure out ways to do this better, however after going through all of our options it was going to be easier for our team to be able to enter in these submissions with new data and accurate images as opposed to old ones. When you submit bottles you bought at retail stores they don’t have in their system, you send pics along with upcs and everything to get “accepted”. Only to be “rejected” because they are too lazy to look it up. Its ok. But not as great as everyone says. It’s for tater bragging rights with each other. Nothing more.69Achie69

Hey 69Achie69, sorry to hear about your experience. We have a small team that looks at each submission provided by the user and they all do their best to enter in the data they see. If a submission is rejected, it is due to some piece or pieces of data missing that are required for them to enter that information. I do see in past submissions associated with your account there is some data missing from submissions that are marked as rejected. Doesn’t feel like a complete app.
Recently found this app and thought I’d give it a try. Initial Thoughts…
- No or useless help available.
- Was hoping for bulk import but didn’t see it.
- Tried to delete account using provided functionality but it didn’t do anything.
- Also T&C say they don’t abide by do not track.
