buggy

looks cool but wouldn’t even allow me past the screen asking for my birthdate

Deleting tasks

I can’t delete the tasks from the task menu
I swipe to the right but don’t get any movement
Other than that I’m loving the app so far
Wish you could help me fix that

Hey Kelly! Deeply appreciate the sweet review and even more for bringing the issue to our notice. We took note and the issue was fixed in last update. EDIT: The issue is finally fixed as of Thursday (Oct 31). :) Always here for you at care@zeniti.one if you have any ideas for us to bring you the best. We are in this together ✨

Initial thoughts

Only a few weeks in, here are some initial impressions:

- Really enjoy the interface, enjoy the ability to personalize, and customize

-the content seems smart and exactly what I’m looking for

Hey bud, sorry to see you having a not-so-smooth experience with Memento Mori 😔 Could you please tell me more about this at kirti@surrealworks.one? Anyway, we also made a bunch of big improvements (including multi-language support). Will release it within 24 hours. Hope you like it ❤️ Always here for you!

Task Screen Does Not Allow For Return To Home Screen

Once you get to the task screen for the day, there is no way to return to the home screen. There is no back button. You need to reboot the entire app to get back to the main screen. Please fix!

So happy to see you growing the Stoic Way bud ❤️ And we noted your issue. It will be fixed in our upcoming update on May 31, 2024. If you have more ideas for us to improve, feel free to write to us at kirti@surrealworks.one. We are in this One 😊

Unjust Pricing

You put books that are available online for free behind a pay wall, that is ridiculous. Your taking information freely available and charging for it.

Response from developer

I get your concern, but I hope you explored how much free stuff is also there 😔 We charge for the effort it takes to provide you all the features like breathing, Mementos, widgets, tasks, and so much more, not just books. In a time when even a basic note taking app costs more than $15, I'm sad to see you calling this all-in-one package unjust. Plus such bad ratings just hurt small developers like us. Still, let us know what else you would like to see that will make the Stoic Way worth it to you. Your win is our win ❤️

Solid foundation, just needs some touch ups

Over all I like the app. I like the simple yet engaged aspect. There’s some technical things that need worked through though. Some chat/text boxes get cut off and you’re unable to see them. The quotes for the widgets are repetitive and could use more variety to cycle through. Needs another coat of polish but if those things get addressed I think this could turn into a very great app!

Great potential to become the stoic home base to go to

While I see the great potential of this app aiming to integrate all aspects of learning and living with stoic principles - there are (for the iPad version) significant limits and shortcomings that I want to wait before subscribing. First the positive: comprehensive and multi-dimensional approach to a stoic lifestyle - from meditations, reflections, journaling prompts, scheduling tasks and an AI driven conversation with StoAI… all and more is on offer.
Current limitations: first the only-portrait format on an iPad prohibits using an attached keyboard easily - and that is needed for note taking etc; then all the great inspirational comments and feedback - and lessons learned through interacting with the app, cannot be saved to the journaling section (or anywhere else) to preserve, re-visit, grow from. But I’d like to build on the time invested with such an app.
So: great concept and stoic tool - but not yet there to be a really useful companion for me.

Gratitude for your detailed feedback bud 🌸 It makes sense, and we will prioritize a landscape mode for iPad next. For most part, we were trying to bring Memento Mori to the level of our Android version (we have been there for 2+ years now, but just few months on iOS) but now that we are there, your points are our next focus. Rest assured, we will always bring you the best of growth and wellness, the Stoic way. We are in this together ❤️
