On Germ DM, you control what you share, who can talk to you, and what you pay attention to. - Share Your Link: Connect instantly and securely with any iPhone by showing a QR code or sending a link. It even works with someone who doesn’t have the app yet—try it out! - Call them Burners, Finstas or Spam: Build multiple profile cards to share with different people in your life. Other people only see the cards you've shared with them. Each card can have its own name, profile picture, and pronouns that can be edited over time. - Do Not Disturb: Manage your notifications by conversation or by which of your profile cards you shared, allowing you to mute and unmute whole groups of conversations at once. Germ protects your information and helps you protect yourself. - Private: Everything you store and share on Germ is end-to-end encrypted using standardized Messaging Layer Security, meaning only the person you send it to can see it—not even us, the developers. - Access Control: Invite links let you control who can find you and for how long. Send a link that can only be used once for strongest authentication, or share a link with up to 100 uses for easier connections. - Stalker-Resistant: We never recommend you to anyone—and your Germ app is not connected to your phone number or a discoverable username, so if you block someone, it can be forever. - Deception-Resistant: Card update histories help you evolve how you identify, keep track of your friends, and protect you from tricksters.
