Price History of Dehancer Color Test

Description of Dehancer Color Test

Dehancer Color Test is based on the color perception study by co-founders of Dehancer Pavel Kosenko & Denis Svinarchuk, experts in Image Processing. This experimental tool helps you determine how many colours you perceive under different colour target display conditions. The test results include two values: 1. The number of colors you can perceive It is an index of color perception involving short-term memory. In simpler terms, it represents the ability of aesthetic perception under momentary examination. The result depends on the visual experience and your demand for colour nuance. You can take this test regularly to improve your perceptual vision. 2. The current effectiveness of your perception relative to your theoretical potential With some reservations, the potential represents the limit of your physiological ability, as measured at the level of the sensory visual system. Sensory vision is also trainable, but to a lesser extent. Perception depends on lighting conditions, physical and emotional state, and effort. Also, the results may vary over time and as your visual experience improves. The testing method is part of a live experiment, so we admit measurement inaccuracies. The statistics we collect do not contain personal data and are stored in anonymized form. This app is not intended for medical diagnosis. Any result is normal and reflects your personal demand for nuanced color perception. Dehancer’s mission is to preserve the aesthetic heritage by means of digital tools for color correction and lifelike emulation of analog processes and effects. Very useful to test your eyes to see how they process with colours

Thank you for the feedback! Enjoy:)
  • Great fun, helpful, and hope you develop it further!

Done a handful of these over the years, and this is a great addition. Would love to see other “games” or “leaderboards” in the future for different color schemes. Complimentary matching, triads, analogous, etc!

Love the design and simplicity, still a 5star app, but I have x3 critiques…
    1. It would be great to be able to revisit past accuracy in detail, and not just the score. “Great I hit 99.4 on magenta this time, but wait, what’d I get last time?” was an experience I had and realized I could only see my overall score.
    2. A fine nudge “+,-“ on either side of the the modification wheel would be great. No value display needed, but when it’s not just right sometimes I want the smallest nudge, not a drag
    3. A speed based version of the existing (and any future game/tool) would be really cool. I’d consider this current version an Any%. But I’d love to test myself in a 30/15/5 second limit (per color) of the same experience. It’d be really helpful to know how much that extra 10+ seconds helps with my “gut accuracy” of my 5 second run vs. my 15sec run for work.

Great work team! Keep it alive!

  • Really helping me out!

I’ve used it a numerous about of times and have been improving the number of colors I can distinguish! I’ve shared this app with a couple of my friends that are artists and they also say it has been helping them as well!!
It’s also fun to have a little competition with them lol
Definitely recommend giving it a try!
