Promising, but time-consuming
I’m on the three-day all-access trial. Only been using it for a few days.
Pros:
Over a thousand styles
Customisable (in theory)
Probably very useful if you know a lot about fine art, and have a lot of time to learn complex software.
Cons:
If you don’t know the names of painters, it can be very time-consuming. The image previews are not very helpful. It would be much easier if the base image was the same to quickly see the effect.
The AI might be useful but it keeps crashing.
Customisation doesn’t always respond.
The refinement tool doesn’t work well - the image preview is very small and the refined area ends up being a different colour, so it’s unusable.
Several server errors and the app freezes (M3 Macbook Pro)

Best app for photo to art!
Finally an AI photo2 art app that gives real art rather than just avatars and alike. Support is superb as well. 10 stars!

This app has good potential but right now 95% of the output is REALLY BAD. And, in addition to the subscription fees you are constantly nagged to buy more time. I find this very annoying and pointless because even if you theoretically bought enough credits to work 24-hours a day, the end result will always be lacking. To make matters worse, the images are basically the size of a postage stamp. Buyer beware.

Highly recommend! The developers have really worked hard to address all of the problems I was experiencing in the past. AI Impressionist Painter is quickly becoming one of my very favorite apps for adding color, style and textures. In addition to providing more satisfying artistic results quickly, the team is regularly releasing new styles, too. There is A HUGE variety of painterly, printmaking, and drawing effects -- always something NEW here to experiment with and the results are fantastic. I couldn't be happier with my monthly subscription. Very fun and rewarding user experience! FIVE STARS

So much fun
I love AI Impressionist! It is so much fun turning my photos into different styles of painting and I can save them to print out and try a painting in real life from it.

EFFORTLESS PAINTERLY EFFECTS
This is by far the easiest way to transform a photo into something more, something that resembles a work of art in a variety of styles. It is genius!
Fun process
It doesn’t create perfectly on its own, but the options are endless and editable. Fun process app to ideate.
