I like the app but like I wouldn't use it that much because it's too much work compared to the actual fidget cubes where you can continue on with your daily stuff and subconsciously use the cube with one hand. You can't really do it with the app. Just like everyone else I also think it's weird to have a sign up part like i get that it's used to keep track of the energy etc whatsoever but maybe have an option to use it as a guest if people don't care about keeping track of their progress. Also the fingerprint side of the cube is really bad in the app version.

Hey there! 👋  Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback! ♥️  Our goal with the haptic feedback on the Breathe side is to mimic the rhythm and pattern of breathing in and out. We'll definitely make note of your thoughts on this, though! 👍 Thanks for being a part of our community!   - Team Antsy Labs 🐜
  • Love love love

Amazing substitution when I don’t have my physical fidget cube

  • Show me before asking

Blame it on the current scammy climate but immediately asking to make an account put up some red flags. No breakdown on where/how the data is stored. Reasons given for why it would be beneficial to have an account should be up to the user. How am I supposed to know what "fidget energy" is if I can't even try the app first before handing over my email? And why isn't there a single player option? Great idea, terrible execution!

    Developer Response

Hey there!  We appreciate your honest feedback! And we understand your hesitation, and would love to explain the concept of Fidget Energy and why an account is integral to the Fidget Cube app experience.  Fidget Energy is a numbers-based representation of how many interactions you've had with your virtual Fidget Cube. Essentially, each component of Fidget Cube on the app gives you a unique amount of Fidget Energy each time you interact with it. In addition to being a fun way to track your fidgeting, Fidget Energy also serves as a way for you to unlock a series of unique colorways so you can customize your Fidget Cube in the app! ☺️ The idea behind requiring an account is simple yet impactful: it enables you to maintain and sync your Fidget Energy and unique Fidget Cube colorways on any device, ensuring a cohesive experience.  Plus, it allows you to access our global leaderboard - please note that the leaderboard is not something that you have to actively use in the app (single-player fidgeting is always available!) 😉.  If you have any questions or need assistance getting started, we're here to help! We hope you give the Fidget Cube app a try!  - Team Antsy Labs 🐜
  • Buggy Leaderboards

I was one of the Kickstarter backers and I love my retro fidget cube and I like the idea of this app, but I have noticed a few issues.

    1. I've been playing this a while and the Leaderboards do not update properly at all. They claim to update daily but this does not appear to be the case.

    2. Frequent freezing when changing cube sides.

    3. Once you get to a certain number of points, the points tend to freeze and take a long time to update if at all.

Hey there, Thank you for your feedback! 🚀 First, we apologize for any confusion and the inconvenience caused by these glitches. Our team is dedicated to delivering a flawless fidgeting experience and your feedback helps us make sure that the Fidget Cube app continues to get better with each update.  Our team has looked into the leaderboard issue, and we're seeing that the leaderboards are correctly updating daily - please note that depending on your time zone, the update may take place before or after midnight for your specific account. With that said, we will continue to keep an eye on the leaderboard functionality! 💪 Should you continue to face any problems, please reach out to us at hello@antsylabs.com. • Freeze cube

I love my OG fidget cube and when I saw the app I thought cool cube on the go instead of in the car. I didn’t love the sign up for something element but cube love carried me through that. Half the time when trying to fidget on whatever side it will try to rotate the cube instead of just tweak the analog stick or roll the spindle (ANNOYING) I soon discover that it likes to get stuck on the side with the silver ball and it will not count my fidgets or rotate off to a different side of the cube. The hepatics are cool except the worry stone side. In real fidget the worry stone side is better than I thought it would be but with hepatic feedback it’s absolutely not relaxing.

I have the phone app because I don’t Apple Watch but I think if the random freeze element goes away it would be the perfect app for watch users.

  • Anxiety by needing to have an account

I didn’t create the required account because I don’t see the value without even trying it.

It would it amazing if you let people try before giving you their data. The amount of selling of data is why I have anxiety and thus more need of fidgety things

Hi Denali! Thank you for sharing your thoughts!  We hear you – setting up an account can seem like an extra step. However, this feature is key to keeping your Fidget Energy and unlocked Fidget Cube colorways saved and accessible across all your devices.  It also opens up a fun world of competition on our global leaderboard! We’re here to ensure you have a seamless experience.  Why not give it a go and see for yourself? We're excited for you to join our community. Warm regards,  - Team Antsy Labs 🐜
  • Sign up required??

Opened the app, saw it required an account to use, instantly deleted. I backed the OG Kickstarter too.

I’m pretty sure “anxious + fidgety” and “avoids unnecessary social interaction” demographics have substantial overlap. Very odd choice.

Maybe a feature locked demo before account creation? I’m not 100% anti-signup but the app didn’t earn my data.

Hi there! 👋  First, let us extend our sincere appreciation for believing in us dating back to the original Kickstarter for Fidget Cube. Backers like you made this new digital Fidget Cube possible, and we're truly grateful for your support! ♥️ We'll take your suggestion of the demo before account creation into consideration. Please note that creating an account within the app doesn't require any social interaction at all, particularly if you're not interested in competing on the Fidget Energy leaderboards. 👍 Our inclusion of the user account element of the app is to ensure that your Fidget Energy and colorways earned are saved and consistent, regardless of if you're using one device or multiple devices. Perhaps you'll give the app a try and let us know your thoughts! 🙌 Cheers, - Team Antsy Labs 🐜
  • Almost there!

It is fun. I like having the different vibrations for the hepatic setting. I would say that changing the “breath” surface to a more relaxed (calming) pattern of vibrations would be nice. Since that surface is suppose to be grounding you unlike the spinning and clicking options having the vibration pulses so fast you kind of don’t get the calming aspect. That is my only thought. Otherwise it is fun. The watch one is too 🤣

  • I love this!

I was a kick start supporter for the fidget cube. I absolutely love mine. This app captures each side pretty darn well. My favorites the ratchet wheel and the three cogs and ball feel perfect. Love this app.
