Simchas, rentals, and mikvahs: Shechuna does it all!
I came to Crown Heights for Shabbos with no plan—just a hat box, a few tzedakah nickels, and the hope that someone might offer me some kugel. Then I remembered the Shechuna app, promising to be my one-stop guide for all things Crown Heights.
Looking for a mikvah? Shechuna had me covered. I found one that the app described as having “classic charm”—which, of course, meant ice-cold water, because what’s a mikvah without a little suffering, right? Still, it was conveniently located right behind a bakery, so after toiveling I was fully prepared—both spiritually and with fresh rugelach. Truly a nes!
For those thinking of extending their stay, Shechuna’s rental listings were super handy. I found a cozy apartment that promised “authentic Crown Heights charm,” which turned out to mean an old couch and neighbors whose davening doubles as your 6 a.m. alarm clock.
Before Shabbos, I used Shechuna to track down all the local simchas. The app made sure I had the details about every shalom zachor and ufruf in town, ensuring I wouldn’t miss a single chulent opportunity. By the end of the day, I had attended so many kiddushim that I began wondering if I’d need another trip to the mikvah just to recover.
All in all, Shechuna is the ultimate guide to Crown Heights. Whether you’re lost, hungry, or just trying to figure out where all the chassidim are headed in such a rush, this app has you covered. Now, if only it could guarantee me a seat at the next farbrengen...

I really like it!
As the genius behind KWB, I know how much effort time and money it takes build an app such as this. Congratulations 🫡
Only in Crown Heights!
Great app, clean design, easy to use. The functionality of the app is great for what it’s intended purpose is- which is navigating crown heights. Crown heights is represented in great detail by this app, which shows 105 shuls, mikvaos and batei midrash. Will I use this app? Unfortunately, as I don’t live in crown heights and am not visiting crown heights I will not be using the app. I was going to visit the Baltimore Jewish community, but unfortunately as it is not crown heights I will not be doing that.

Perspicacious

Saved by Shechuna
I was visiting Crown Heights. I knew nobody. I desperately needed a Mikvah so I could get an Aliyah in order to name the 3 female puppies my neighbor’s dog had given birth to the day before. I asked two people where I could find one but they wouldn’t answer (perhaps I should have asked men). Then I saw a banner flapping in the wind. A beautiful banner advertising the Shechuna app! I downloaded it over the WiFi from the chocolate sandwich store and within minutes had found and toiveled in no less than 4 mikva’os!
Unfortunately none of the 8 shuls I found on there and visited would let me name the puppies, so Hadassah Miriam, Binah Devorah, and Gittel Sarah had to be named in front of a Chumash at home.
