Hey there, HomeLights enthusiasts! I'm back with another update, and I'm super excited to share the new features and improvements in version 1.3. I've been listening to your feedback and working hard to make HomeLights even better. Let’s dive into what's new! Remote Improvements: - You asked, and we delivered! Introducing a new way to adjust brightness – with a sleek slider to adjust the whole room. And don't worry, the classic +/- buttons are still there for your convenience. Tailor your light to your mood with just a swipe! - Personalize your experience by setting custom icons for each of your lights. Dive into the Room Settings to start customizing! Settings: - New options in Remote Settings: 'Enable Brightness Slider', 'Simple Press to Toggle', and 'New Light Matches Brightness'. Each setting comes with a detailed description for better understanding. - Revamped the Remote Settings section for a more intuitive experience. - A link to the HomeLights X account has been added in the Settings. Follow us for all the latest updates and tips! HomeKit: - Add support for HomeKit "Default Room". This is the room automatically created by HomeKit when an accessory isn't assigned to a specific room. While not widely used, some people actually use it in their setups, so now it can be seen in HomeLights. I hope you'll enjoy these new features and changes! Please don't hesitate to take a moment to leave a review on the App Store to let me know what you think about the app, and to support it!

Hey HomeLights users! I’ve been hard at work, and I’m thrilled to show you what's new in this latest update. Trust me, there’s some pretty cool stuff waiting for you. Room Detection Enhanced: - Improved the speed of the detection algorithm; it's now more than 2x faster! Choose from 3 different detection methods based on your preference: quicker or more reliable. - You can now correct a faulty detection directly from the Live Testing section in the Room Detection settings. - Added the ability to train rooms without lights (mostly useful for Apple Shortcuts). Widgets: - Introducing a new small LockScreen Widget: a gauge displays the room's current brightness and allows up to 3 configurable actions. Execute actions like increasing/decreasing brightness, toggling lights, or refreshing state using invisible buttons (from top to bottom). Configure these actions by editing the widget. - Refined Remote LockScreen Widget colors for better readability on light backgrounds. - Refactored widgets code for improved performance. HomeKit: - Added support for more devices. Due to the changes required for this, you'll need to redo your device blacklisting and reordering (sorry for the inconvenience). Apple Shortcuts: - Several new example Shortcuts to get you started. Check them out in the Shortcuts section. I hope you'll enjoy those improvements! I'm all ears for your feedback, so don’t hesitate to reach out if something’s amiss or if you’ve got ideas to share. Enjoying the app? I’d be absolutely delighted if you could spare a moment to drop a review on the App Store. Your support is what keeps these updates coming!

  • You cannot use anything in the app without it making you buy an app purchase

This app look very interesting and it has good reviews. I’m sure it could possibly be a good app but I don’t know. I haven’t had the opportunity to. I’ve set up the app and as soon as I try to do anything, ask me to go premium this is now including, changing the dimmer settings on the lights so I can’t even turn the light up and down on the phone which is one of its main functions if this was a truly free trial let’s say it was timed. You give a day or a week then I am pretty sure I would’ve brought this up because it seems very interesting but having this tactic of drawing you in saying it’s free and then every function being hidden behind a payroll is kind of disgusting.
Ps i’ve just come back to the app to check whether the review has gone live and it still hasn’t. I’m hoping the Apple is running a process through this to check the review for rude words of which they will find and then will put the review up live I will be checking in on this on a regular basis if I don’t see it live within a week I will be ringing Apple up to make a complaint, even on top of all that I don’t see why my one star shouldn’t count straight away as you don’t need to check the one star for anything I will be checking back. I will be making sure this review goes up.

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to review HomeLights. I understand your concerns about the limitations of the free version and appreciate your feedback. The free version allows you to fully control two rooms of your choice. For users with larger setups, upgrading to the full version is necessary to unlock all rooms and access premium features, such as Room Detection. HomeLights also offers a 14-day free trial, specifically designed to give users the opportunity to try out the full version without spending any money. I'm always looking for ways to enhance the user experience in both versions of the app. If you have any suggestions or further feedback, I'd love to hear them. Feel free to email me through the app to discuss more about this. Thank you again for your feedback, and I hope you'll give HomeLights another chance in the future! Best, Anthonin
