PolyGPT is an oral training tool that combines AI conversation. Its greatest feature is the ability to engage in conversations using multiple languages simultaneously. If you have tried using ChatGPT and voice plugins for oral conversation training, you may have noticed the limitation of only practicing with a single foreign language. This app resolves that limitation and enhances the convenience of oral training. Please note that you will need an API key from OpenAI to use the features of this app. Obtain an OpenAI API key: https://platform.openai.com/account/api-keys (New OpenAI accounts can be created and used for free.) "Why is it important to use multiple languages simultaneously?" * If you are proficient in multiple languages, freely switching between different languages for continuous conversations can be a fun and challenging training exercise. * During conversations with AI, you may encounter difficulties in expressing yourself in a particular language (1. Not knowing how to articulate what you want to say in that language, 2. Having a mental block in that language). In such situations, you can switch back to your native language (or a more proficient foreign language) to continue the conversation. The app will translate your content into other languages, and the AI's responses will include various languages. You can understand the meaning of the AI's responses through the language you are familiar with. After conveying your thoughts using your native language, it is recommended to listen to and read translated texts in the language you want to learn. Imagine yourself being able to respond directly in that language. The language settings are flexible (1-9 languages) and can include multiple foreign languages, or just a combination of your native language and one foreign language, or even just a single foreign language, among other possibilities. "Bookmark Feature" Click the star icon next to the conversation to bookmark sentences, making it convenient for repeated browsing and practice. Click the star icon in the upper-left corner to add it to your favorites. "Automatic Reading" Every sentence can be read aloud, with the corresponding sentence automatically highlighted. You can also play all the sentences continuously by clicking the triangle play button next to the conversation. "Translation Only" In addition to AI conversation mode, this app also supports switching to "Translation Only" mode. It translates only the sentences you input into other languages, and the AI does not respond. It functions like a multilingual translator. In fact, when traveling in non-English-speaking areas, using this app and setting the language to [Your native language + English + Local language], three languages, will be more convenient than using a translator with only two languages. Your native language and the local language are used to ensure mutual understanding of the intended meaning in the conversation. Additionally, due to the universality of English, it can serve as a connection point for direct communication between both parties. For example, you can use a certain English word from the sentences together to convey meaning. "Text Input" In addition to voice input, this app also supports text input, allowing you to input sentences that may be difficult to recognize. "Additional Information" No child has ever mastered their native language communication by simply reading dictionaries or memorizing grammar rules. Listening and speaking are essential.
