Dual CS529 App - Nice but flawed
This is one of those apps that was created so the company say, “We have an app.” There really isn’t that much functionally a turntable would have for an app, and this one is no different. I like the start, stop and repeat features, but speed selection is just silly. I am pretty sure that I won’t be listening to an LP at 33&1/3 and then decided to switch it to 45 or 78.
There is a major flaw I found when connecting to an iPad mini. When the screen times out and locks, the bluetooth disconnects! I have to pair it again. It’s easy to do, but kind of a pain.
Another flaw, in my opinion, is that to connect to a pair of blue tooth speakers or headphones, the turntable has to be switched to “Line” instead of “Phono.” This prevents me from playing an LP in the room where my system is and another remote speaker in the home simultaneously. I don’t know of a technical reason they could not have a feature that will allow that.
Anyway, love the turntable, but the bluetooth feature could have been better thought out.
