  • Ads in the middle

The ads in the middle of gameplay are so frustrating! There are multiple complaints about the same problem. I will give 1 star every time an ad pops up during gameplay. If it means multiple times a day to get the developers attention, so be it. There is no way that you, as the developer, cannot remove the ads during gameplay. The ads started after the last update on February 2.

  • don’t fix what ain’t broke

The function that automatically erased incorrect numbers after selecting the correct ones has been removed. Now, players are required to manually erase all incorrect numbers. I find this function to be repetitive for no good reason. With this game, I picked the lesser two poisons. Ads, I understand as they make revenue for the company as annoying and frequent they are. But removing the function of erasing all incorrect numbers AFTER you’ve already selected the correct ones??????

There’s no real reason no matter how they spin it but I put in a ticket inquiring the new development and was told verbatim that, “This change was made to enhance the gameplay experience by encouraging more active and deliberate participation from players, at the same time, making the game more challenging.”

I personally don’t find this change enhancing or encouraging but it is what it is?????

I’ve reached 950+ levels and to have this new development take place, I find myself not playing Number Sum as much and frustrated enough to write a review at 3:44AM. Out of all things to “fix”, this wasn’t it and a poor decision in my opinion.

It feels like whoever OK-ed this change was the kid that goes, “Oh teacher, you forgot to collect homework!! 🤓” right before class ended.

The game is great, customer service was amazing, Polina gave me a timely, thorough, and polite reply and I’m not mad, just disappointed.

  • WAYYYYY too many ads!!

I enjoy the game and used to play a lot but they’ve added so many ads. Like a lot of times they’ll have an ad show up when your in the middle of a game/level. It’s super annoying and makes you lose the flow you had going. And not only are there so many ads, a large majority of the ads are really stupid and annoying to watch. There has been multiple times I’ve just stopped playing because I was so frustrated with the constant ads. Plus, some of the ads are pretty long and all of them require you to press more than one ‘X’ to get out of the ad. A lot of times you have to press three separate exit buttons just to move on.

  • Fun way to work your brain

Great and fun. Not a lot of ads. I just wish there were some kind of journey or puzzle to complete instead of just level after level but still it’s fun and challenging without being discouraging difficult.

  • Too many ads

I rarely write reviews and I typically have no issues with ads, but this app has gone overboard. An ad to start a game, another ad when the game ends..click “new game” and another ad to start the next game. Now to add to the ad nonsense…when you make a correct, educated guess up pops an emoji with “good job”, “way to go”, or “congratulations”….and your reward for making a correct selection...another ad! How stupid…you get penalized for making a correct selection.

  • Ads in the middle

Since the update 5 days ago, we now start getting ads in the middle of playing a game. An emoji with “cool” pops up and then an ad! Encouragements are great but it fades fast when we get a d—n ad. Will you please turn this off?
Thanks for the response. Very much appreciated.

  • Just say “No” to mid game ads

Recent update decided to introduce multiple mandatory ads into the middle of playing a single puzzle. That alone makes the game intolerable to play. The in-game events are, and have been, too large for the amount of time given, unless you want to be endlessly playing puzzle after puzzle with ad after ad after ad for several hours a day over several days to complete them.

  • A mild challenge but those in-game ads …

The game is designed to make you think, but if I’m catching on to the in-game ads this time thinking cost you another ad. I get the ads before a game. I’d even understand the ads after if I used extra lives. Ads feel like a punishment for winning the game. The ads in the middle of games ruins my concentration. Maybe they come up after I take too long to find a path forward, but usually that means I’m seeing a couple things to compete but when I clear one bang … a annoying and distracting ad. Back to the game, figure out where I was, bang another ad.

  • Lots of ads

I expect ads but it is a little much when right during the game they tell you that you made a great move, then pop in an ad.

I also think they need to make the erase and store buttons more distinct. It is easy to get the wrong button. Of it is on ‘erase’ and you push ‘erase’ again, it changes it to the ‘store’ button.

  • It was a great game

I’ve really enjoyed play this game. The only time ads came up was after I finished a game or when I needed a new life. Now the game is interrupted by ads while playing. You have ads at the bottom of the game; which is not distracting. Ads now during the game! Unacceptable and nothing but greedy. Sadly I had to delete this game. I really enjoyed playing daily.
