Fine game, but please never do this again
Between you guys and Rusty Lake's "The Past Within", it seems like all my favorite indie game devs are conspiring to add intense motion sickness to their solid game franchises. It would be relatively easy to make an option that lets the third of us who get motion sick play: have 4 locked directions in each room that show all the walls, add arrows to the sides for the player to switch between them, remove the swoopy transitions side to side and the swoops in and out of zooms, badabingbadaboom. You can keep the game essential 3D mechanic bits like the objects that can be viewed and turned around if you like, turning an object is much less sickness inducing than turning your environment, and plenty of those objects were really interestingly designed. But yeah, the 3d element of the environment didn't add anything but motion sickness for the third of the population affected, and it removed some of the charm of the art style.Show lessAlmighty Cloud

I must say I’m disappointed with the 3d, as impressive as it is, I like the almost hand drawn style of the other games. Also it gets quite tedious to have to drag your finger around all the time.
Other then that, the sounds are as satisfying and amazing as ever and so are the puzzles

Navigation and vision problem
Prefer the 2D version. The 3D one was not carefully made, not like the old ones where all the objects are exquisite, the 3D one was messy and it’s giving me headaches. Many details are missing. It’s also hard to find the way. Every room looks quit the same and finding direction was also stressing me out.Show lesshhuhhgfrf

Great game, but I have to say I’m not fond of the 3D. I think your games lend themselves best to the hand drawn, minimalist format. That is what hooked me originally.AndreasMD
Love this series, but the 3d didn’t add a lot for me
The 3d made for a couple effective jump scares but didn’t add much to the gameplay. There weren’t any puzzles that required perspective shifting and very few hidden objects, plus I was frustrated that you couldn’t zoom in on a few areas that looked like there was something interesting going on.
I am excited to see more experiments in 3d but the art did lose some of its charm in this one for me. Also wish there was an option to pay to remove ads because they really ruin the spooky mood.Show lessaidsnfalsbdjksgna;sofjgn;a

Once again I nearly missed a fantastic game because apple display the same crud on their front page daily. Why? This game is superb in every way, great story, perfect puzzles, a few jumpy moments and great characters. It logically guides you along so you don’t get frustrated with hints if needed although because it’s so well made you rarely need them. The only thing that disrupts the beauty of the gameplay is ads and the game should really be a paid for game as it’s that good. But I understand it helps those that can’t afford to still play which is unbelievably generous. Another excellent instalment to this wonderful franchise! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Took me a few hours to complete. Lovely pace and great graphics which felt smooth and worked well. Would recommend purchasing if the next edition is longer but I love the new feel of this. I am a fan of previous but this is a new level of brilliance.Catscream

To the rater who gave it one star because it froze, I’m guessing you had an inventory item highlighted. It won’t let you proceed if you do. Too bad you missed it as it was a great game! I would def pay the $1.99 to remove ads, but not pay extra for free hints, as the puzzles were pretty intuitive. Def worth while and will anxiously await the next one!Show lessGammygamer
