Reviews of Stay High!

  • Way to many ads

I really like this game buuuut ads pop up every 30 seconds including the ads on the bottom of the screen. There’s not even a way to remove them(not that it would really be worth it). Please remove them or have on play when u die. I would probably play this for a while but unfortunately I’m gonna delete it until there is a change.
  • It sucked

This game only had one level. I could keep going into detail but overall it sucked.
  • Good starting point. Exited to see developments.

I downloaded and beat the game in just a few hours of on and off playing. Simple game that is easy to pick up and understand. At the moment it is just one level but I’m sure there are more to come. There are a few things that I would change. One is the home base. What is the reason to have turrets on it and to be able to expand it if there are never any enemies coming at the base. Maybe after you build the home turrets the enemies placed outside the base attack it to generate a small but steady amount of income. The more home base turrets, the larger the steady income. Another, the fact that enemies that can throw bombs and that the player can not shoot the ground make the whole point of the staying high pointless. It’s not a good way to travel across the map, as it is very unclear where you can jump from platform to platform and where you are just going to fall. Sometimes you fall on one where previously you could jump. The same goes for the zip lines. They are hard to get onto. The guns are cool and the upgrades make sense. The player upgrade is missing some information about what is happening when you upgrade your character. I assume health is increasing but hard to say. The mechanic of rescuing miners is cool and was exciting to discover. I wonder if there could be a way to have the minors help you fight once all the platforms are built. They could be weak, and then when they die they respawn at the home base and walk back out onto the battle field to help you. Just an idea. Lastly, the enemies changed color as I went along, from red to orange to purple. I assumed that meant they were stronger: more damage dealt and more health, but that wasn’t ever explained and the locations of the stronger ones didn’t make a whole lot of sense. They first popped out right outside my base.
