Description of WAS

The WAS browser allows you to switch between mobile and desktop views of a website in one click. Now you can view any sites or test your own by changing the user-agent string, which is responsible for the view in which you see the site. With the built-in WebView browser, you can see how your site will look on various smartphones, screens and devices without buying these devices and without installing additional emulators. WAS has a wide range of built-in user agents, but if these are not enough for you, you can easily add and create your own. In addition, the application has many built-in settings for quick testing and verification of content adaptability. Get the app right now and forget once and for all about the problem of testing sites on different devices!

  • A nice effort, but some issues

I applaud the developer for creating a web browser that can switch user agents. You can even create your own.

I think there should be a trial option as I found issues that, imo, were problematic for me:
    - user agent string feature does work on the opening page, but I found it unreliable on subsequent pages such as a menu selection on a website
    - No share sheet functionality
    - No bookmarking or multiple windows (at least that I can find)
    - Features that don't seem to do anything (clear history, share URL)
    - Would be nice if there were documentation on some of the settings.

With a bit more polish and maturity, I think this app could be very helpful, especially for developers trying to test different browsers. Still, as it is, it's the one of the few browsers I've found that has multiple user agents built in. Even better, the user agents are fairly current.
