I’m having a really hard time finding anything of worth for free. When I click the “free stories” At the top of my page, I can read two or three sentences and then hit the pay wall. If there is more to the free version, it should be easier to access. As is, I will not be motivated to sort through things to practice.
Using the topic context, levels of experience, and helpful translation/audio options mean you can read the article even with new words or grammar. The quizzes can be tricky but make sure you are reading to understand.
I’ve been looking for this exact product. Combines very short and very interesting reading passages in Spanish with audio version and vocabulary review. Gave it only 4 stars because the audio version is read with an accent from Spain. I am studying Latin American Spanish which is most useful in USA. Would like to see two audio options: one with Spanish accent and one read with a Latin American accent.
I love the format of this app. I especially like how you can adjust the speed. I find that combining all modes, from reading, to listening, to both simultaneously, at various speeds is quite conducive to learning for me. I think it’s also helpful to be able to hear the pronunciation of any given word at any time, and the explanations of conjugations is awesome.
The stories and format are great for learning but they shove the paid subscription in your face every second on top of the fact that you really don’t have as many options if you don’t pay, which is a shame but I get.
In my opinion if you don’t pay you should at least get one or two new stories a day at the level of your choosing without having to pay.
The stories are interesting, and the quizzes are good to reinforce comprehension
Interesting stories at appropriate levels. Should speak slower for lower levels.
This app is perfect to allow me to practice listening and improving my grammar while learning an interesting story
