  • Great

I have been dealing with a flinch issue for 20 years with striker fire guns. Carried j frame revolver that made me have a sub conscious impulse to tame the gun. Finally used the timer today to force faster aquisition and firing and removed the flinch response by speeding up through the sequence. I always knew the longer I looked at a target the more likely I would pre ignition react. When I shot freely and fast I seemed better. With timer I can now accurately place shots at speed. Let's see how I do tomorrow without timer

  • Simple and easy

This app is easy to use and simple, it may not have all the features of some of the fancy shot timers, but it’s free! You can’t beat that. The tone is loud enough to hear with my ear protection on. The adjustments are easy. I have had no trouble with the app at all so far.

    Developer Response

Thank you for your 5-star review! We're thrilled to hear that you find ShootOnTime easy to use and effective for your training needs. While it may not have all the bells and whistles of some high-end shot timers yet, we have plans to offer more features and enhancements in the future. It's great to know the tone is loud enough to hear with your ear protection on. For an even better experience, ShootOnTime works excellently with Bluetooth ear protection, making it even easier to catch the tone. If you have any feedback or suggestions, we're always here to listen. Thanks again for your support, and happy training!
  • Works really well!

I tried out 9 other apps before I came on this one.
It works really well for T and P1, multi target and WA1500.

It is intuitive in its design.
Perhaps in a later (premium) version it would be possible to export the settings and saved timings from my iPad to my iPhone - that would save a bit of time.
    Many thanks-

Glad to hear that ShootOnTime stands out amongst all of the other apps you've tried for your range training.  Your suggestion to export settings and saved timings between devices is a great idea, and we'll definitely consider it for a future premium update. • Simple and easy to use.

My favorite par timer thus far.

    Update:
I put in a request for a 4th par timer since SASS uses 4 guns and the developer quickly got it updated. Thanks again!

    Developer Response

Thanks for the solid 5-star rating! Glad to hear we're your top pick for a par timer. We'll keep pushing the limits to make it even better. Cheers to more shooting on time!
  • Good, but missing some critical capabilities

So the app works, but with some challenges.
    1. I haven’t figured out how to rename or delete a preset
    2. Would be nice to be able to order the presets too
    3. The way you select repetitions is wonky, with the number being the total number of times the timer will run, rather than the number of tones it will repeat. Just a grammar thing.

I do like the app as a whole, and will keep using it. If there were a way to contact the developer, I would leave a 5 star review and simply put in a feature request. But on their webpage there is no contact option.

Thank you for your feedback, we're glad to hear that you like the app and plan to continue using it! To rename or delete a preset, simply swipe left on it in the list. We're exploring customizable preset ordering for future updates, currently they are alphabetical by title. Thanks to your input we've added an in-app contact option in the side menu for easier communication. Your suggestions are crucial for our continuous improvement.
  • Love it

Being able to set repeat par times is a huge time saver. Simple to use, great app.

Glad to hear redman! Thanks for the great review and stay tuned for more features in the future.
  • Please make time count up, not count down

Great App. Please make an option for timer to count up: beep at 0.00 and tap to pause. Or please tell me how if it already has it.

    Developer Response

Thanks for the compliment. Great news, we have made this the default in our latest version 1.2.0! Check it out and update your review to let us know what you think.
  • Just what I was looking for

This par timer does exactly what I was looking for. I now can put my AirPods in under my shooting ‘ears’, and I now have my own personal shot timer. The timer then doesn’t have to compete with outside noise or other shooters.

Maybe? Could we have a selection list of sounds or possibly even pre-recorded words like ‘go’ or ‘start’ for the start/stop/reset? Really outside the box, but maybe the ability to set the sound duration?

Thanks for the 5 star and input on improving the app. We are with you on the sound selection. There are plans to implement exactly that. Thanks again for your support and for helping us refine our app!
  • Easy to use

This app is easy to use but I would add tutorials or something for those who don’t know what they’re doing.

    Developer Response

Thank you for your review and suggestion! We've added a short tutorial in the latest update (version 1.0.8) to help new users. We hope this makes your experience even better. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we're here for any further suggestions or questions.
  • Great for dry fire practice

This is a pretty simple app, but useful as a par timer for dry fire practice of draws to 1st shot, mag changes, etc. I like that it allows you to set whatever par time you want, and also a random time to start tone. You could probably also use it on a live fire range if you have a Bluetooth connection to your hearing protection. Note: it is not a shot counter.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on our app and highlighting its usefulness for dry fire practice. You're definitely right, it works great for live fire training with Bluetooth as well. Thanks again for your support and 5 star review!
